Aggressive Inline Help ++++++K

Theres seriously not a store within 500 miles of me that has aggressive inline skates but i'm incredibly interested in acquiring a pair and need some help with sizing. I wear a size 13 NIKE eric koston pro model shoe and ski a size 28.5 full tilt Ski boot with a really wide last.

So this is my question. REMZ skates.....size up or size down? true to size? i've been offered a pair of size 12's and i wanna take the deal but i'm scared they wont fit

I know plenty of people are gonna hate cause its another one of those "What to buy threads" but i'm real confused and need a push in the right direction

go with size up, if theyr too small, u can't wear them at all. If there just a size or two big, it's not a huge deal, u can still ride in them. If it's a rlly big problem, put some foam in the toe to make it feel better.

size up i when i got mine i went 1 size up and rollerwearhouse.com has the best selection and price

the official word from agressivemall.com on remz "REMZ skates run roughly 1 full size small, when ordering it is advised to up size, especially with the size 11 & up models, these skates have a narrow toe cap and extremely thick liners that take a long period of time to fully break in. The skates are more on the baseball glove type fit, the longer you skate them the better they skate, fit and feel. The Remz skate do have common shell sizing so you can swap liners between the recommended shell sizing. Remz skates tend to run wider on sizes 6-9 and narrower with larger (10-13) models."

anyone saying size up should reconsider their idiocracy.
skates are like ski boots. you dont want to size up for the simple fact that the more open space you have in your boot shell the less amount of control you are going to have over the skate.
So if you would like boat sized skates that make you skate worse/look like ronald mcdonald then be my guest. however take it from a blader who has skated for a decade and works at a skatepark, you will be bummed when you cant lock your grinds because your boots feel awkwardly massive.






with all that said. do yourself a favor and get a razor genesis model skate. they are IMO the best skate to start on because they fit true to shoe size and skate very well from entry level to professionals. Check out aggressivemall.com. they have the best customer service and Justin the owner is a cool dude who deserves the business.

double post because i failed to read the entire thread.

rundown on remz skates: They are VERY loose and floppy. pretty much the farthest feeling skate from a ski boot there is. they also have a low cuff that i find annoying because it doesnt support my ankles like razors do.

Also I too wear a size 28.5 full tilt and for skates I have a size 10 liner (broken in beyond belief) inside of a size 8-9 razor SL shell. it fits really snug but still comfortable.

keep frames and liners in mind while browsing too.
any jug liner will be comfy as fuck.
stick with either a flat setup (4 standard sized urethane wheels per skate) or a anti rocker setup (2 standard sized urethane wheels per skate and 2 smaller inner plastic wheels that help lock onto grinds.

IMO freestyle frames are garbage and you shouldn't even consider them.

I guess I should have included. I'm 6'3" 200+ lbs guy with a beard. I'm not still growing and I know how to skate just haven't done it in a few years. I want something I can perform with and learn quickly. Like I said I knownhownto skate but I'm no pro. So a brand recommendation would be a great start. I keep hearing razor so let's see what people have I say. And thanks so much for all the help

just got off the phone with aggressivemall.com customer service and based on what shoes i wear normally and the width of my foot the customer service rep said i should lean towards the RAZOR GENESYS skates and purchase one thats a size 13

"I wear a size 12 nike shoe and i wear a size 12 razor Genesys" is what he said
so i'm going to start doing my research on those skates and you guys let me know what you think

The genesys is a tried and tested boot from razors. Its pretty much the hallmark boot for them. Ias you can maybe guess i ride the razors chaz sands skate from 06 or whenever and i rode the shit out of them for 3 years. They arent a particularly super light boot but they dont weigh a tonne. The the sole plate are a reasonable width (not boat wide and not unusably thin. The backslide plates are a dream to ride on and have a relatively high ciff so arent going to be too dofferent from the feel of your ski boots. The standard razors stock frames are pretty poor so i bought fifty/50s for them day one but ibe heard good things about most frame companys but dont get xjsado freestyle frames they will make your grinding sloppy and are a bitch for getting stones stuck inbetween them and the frame

i have the same issue.. but about razors inlines..


i have 26.5 in boots,
and a size 40 or 41 in shoes..
have no idea about american shoe sizes and how to chose size in inlines.

start wearing smaller shoes to shrink your feet chauncey... most pro rollerblades are at a size 7 or smaller because its "steezyer" (fact)

welcome to the club. I've heard the remz shell is sort of narrow and at already size small i don't know how well thats going to fair. also if you don't have booters, you're foots not that wide. even if you do i don't think it's that wide unless you fill up the shell without the liner in it. You're more likely not to have an issue with skates i think. they're usually way beter fitting tan ski boots and more comfortable. If my ski boots fit like my carbons that'd be fantastic, they're just not the same shape. not to say my boots don't fit, they do. but my skates feel just a bit better.

anyway there's other options, check rollerwarehouse and amall for deals if you're looking. also there's sizing info on amall.

oh, i see you're thinking razors now. SL's are better i'd say. I've used all 3 razors and i like them in this order, SL>Genesys>cult. SL being first. RW has some good deals on SL's, particularly the horns, but they're a 12.

all the razor brand skates are 3 molds. kinda like full tilt has the new booter vs the older style booter.

SL (superlite) is the newest model and in my opinion the best

i really think all the Genesys are the same, they might have different liners occasionally, and colors. but other than that i think they're all the same.

remz fit pretty true to size, there soft shells break in after time so they will get a bit bigger but the goal of buying a rollerskate is like a ski boot it should fit nice and snug, craming your feet into to small skates is better than to big because again you can break em out and they will fit better id go for 12s and remz is a solid brand i love my pair

a lot of hating on remz in this thread, anyways i owned a pair of razors cults, hated em bought some valos best skates ive ever owned but a bit pricey for what ur getting, needed a new pair bought some remz hard shells i really like them, here are them

it can be hit or miss, but these fit my feet really well i have insanely flat arches so that might add to it, also wide feet for their size

Ya speaking with the guys from aggressive mall we figured out that in the bigger sizes remz get narrower in the shell and I can't have that. So razor it is. The genesys is affordable and should be just fine.
