has anyone mounted regular alpine bindings on the hippy stinx or the piste-pipe? does anyone know if they are the same skis as the pistol and enemy respectively? Nice

I have no idea but I would naturally think that a tele board will be stiffer and more rigid than the pistol noodles are for sure. This could make landings = smashings.

i talked to the k2 rep last year and he didnt think that there would be any problems if you mounted regular bindings on them.

k2's Tele versions of there alpine line-up are actually softer. They are also pre drilled for tele binders but I don't think that would really stop you if you wanted to mount them alpine. they are softer though, in the tail i think.

^ no I didn't know that the tele's were actually softer. I meant fuj noodles I guess I was thinking butters not noodles haha and how rigid teles might be which I just learned ^^ that they are the opposite.

No huckster, Seth Pistols are not stiff. Solid, sure, but not stiff. Stiff = Volkl Explsoiv's or Dynastar Legend Pros. Soft = K2 Seth Pistols. But then again, if you are a skinny little shit, I'm sure the SP's are plenty 'stiff'.

its funny you should say that, becuase i was in boulder ski deals the other day and asked the guy if you could do this, he said that they are different structurally and he would not do it. there are already a bunch of holes drilled in it for the tele bindings....i dont know if this is standard for tele skis as i dont konw much about the equipment

^Nope K2 is the only one doing the insert thing. As far as the skis I skied with Ben Dolenc who rides for K2 and helped design the graffics and he was tearing up the park at Squaw on them. Tele skis usually are softer than their alpine version but in ths case I doubt they are with the Pistols being sooo soft.

I've seen plenty of the hippy stinx mounted for alpine. In fact all the hippy stinx I've seen were mounted for alpine. I'm guessing there's no problem.

Salomonshake ski for one the hippy stinx are 150 dollars cheaper than the Pistols. That's a pretty good insentive. And personally I think they have way cooler graffics and the pistols. But that's just me I like black skis.

Yea I saw them at my local shop and they said its a powder ski but you can put alpine bindings on them

You can mount them with alpine bindings and it doesn't void the warranty. You just have to mount 10mm in front of or behind the inserts.
