Quick what to buy question...

so i had my 16th birthday a couple weeks ago and my grandma gets something special (pricy) for all her grandchildren on their 16th. I need some help on what to ask for, the terms are.

must be something that will last a long part of my life.
the price range is a max of 300
must be a brand new product

so any ideas? i have absolutely no idea at all lol. i need to answer her soon or she will buy a suitcase for me she threatens....

yeah he already said he doesn't do any of those awesome manly outdoor sports. Probably a teenage sally, a watch is probably your best bet so you can be on time and responsible and about as interesting as the timepiece on your wrist. What kinda 16 year old wants a watch or a frickin suit???

Get something fun and interesting that you'll enjoy for the rest of your life.

What kinda hobbies are you into OP???

Do ya really want clothes for your 16th bday????

i ski a lot, and i golf a ton. I will have to ask my grandma about a golf club! i dont now if she will buy tho because i run threw clubs reall fast.

i would love to do some of the sports mentioned but i live in iowa and there is nothin exicting in iowa, nothing

One, for about $400. I'm not saying a $300 suit won't be nice, and as a 16 year old, it'll probably be better than most suits kids his age are wearing, but you still wouldn't drop $300 for a suit and expect it to be top quality. Of course, few people on NS will understand what dressing well really means, so I'm sure most of you will think I'm just some snobby rich white kid.

What are you talking about man? A 3-400 dollar suit is going to be plenty nice for almost any occasion. My dad is a professor and the most expensive suit he owns is around 450 bucks, and it does the job completely fine. In fact most the people I know never have owned a suit a suit more than 500 bucks, and that includes many lawyers and doctors.

You act like it's gonna cost you a $800 suit to make any sort of professional impression, which is far from the truth. O but I wouldn't spend $300 on a suit at 16 years old, you will out grow it so fast it will be a waste. Also I don't think I even wore a suit during my during my entire time in high school.
