why do they always gotta be starting, instigating and retaliating? seriously, they wouldnt be doing any of this and would be focusing on actual diplomacy if they didnt have big brother funneling them arms, and standing over their shoulder.

Dudes just blew up an iranian nuclear scientist infront of his university in Iran. I swear to god they make it hard for me to take their side in any dispute.

just like the little brother who needs a good ass whooping so they dont rely on their big brother to protect them their whole life, israel needs a good ass whooping. They have artificially gained all this military power and influence in the region. they need to chill the fuck out!

The stuff with Iran doesn't bother me because I like to know that someone will do the job the U.S. always tries to do, but what really pisses me off is their occupation, and subjugation of the palestinian people. I don't know why our government supports them so much. To me they are no better than any other middle eastern nation. I mean after all Isreal was founded on terrorism.

If you think of it any given country was founded off of terrorism, its not possible to not found a country off of some sort of terrorism. Also, Iran and any given country in the Middle East normally provokes Israel, so Israel fights back and fucks them up normally, ever heard of the Yom Kippur War buddy? Egypt and Syria crossed Ceasefire lines on Yom Kippur(asshole move seeing as though Yom Kippur is our highest holiday) so Israel fought back and completely fucked them up. And again, technically to this day we are doing the same thing in the U.S. this land could be said to belong to the Native Americans but we pushed them out, same as South Africa. Oh and shit, you could say that Israel is actually Canaan land seeing as though they were the original inhabiters of Israel, or Canaan or The promised land whatever you wan't to call it.

the funny thing is, i support all wars. literally everything. I think war is awesome for our economy, and we could take out some really nasty leaders as well. Not to mention, it would make our generation a helluva lot less pussified. we are the only generation that hasnt fought in an actual hellish war.

these are all the countries off the top of my head that i would be cool with fighting.

N korea
Somalia
Iran
Saudi Arabia
most of the countries in africa

Israel doesnt take ANY shit...ever. if they get hit, their retaliation is 10 fold. thats what i dont like. they dont try their best to work things out diplomatically, they just want to disuade people from fucking them through scaring them.

the one main reason israel is occasionally very agressive is due to this one fact:

NEARLY EVERY COUNTRY AROUND THEM IS OUT TO DESTROY THEM. they are not looking to be peaceful with israel, they would rather like to see israel cease to exist!!

absolutely, but they needed to be that agressive back in the day, when the fight was at least somewhat fair. Now israel is just as advanced as the US technology wise, but they are more of a military state.

They have no more countries that are a threat, only small factions of people. If a country makes a move against Israel, they will get bombed back 40 years. What they lack in size and manpower, tehy make up for in overkill, their technological advantage...which is huge. Plus if you get in a fight with Israel, you get in a fight with the US, and no one wants that.


TBH i am a little bit spooked that Israel would launch a nuke if they felt threatened enough.

The only way that conflict is going to have a long term solution is through respect. Neither side is showing any of that. I understand why Israel acts so paranoid, but they need to stop being dicks to Palestine. They can't keep doing this and playing the victim when Hezbollah launches rockets or Iran makes another speech about wiping Israel off the map (which don't solve anything either). We can't have any effect on the Muslims really, but we can affect Israel by tying our aid directly to their cooperation with their neighbors. If they keep on their present course, they WILL get burned for it eventually. Iran will eventually get nukes, and Jordan and Syria will eventually get their shit together and come in and wreck Israel. It's only a matter of time.

Well it basically all comes down to the historic conflict in that area. Basically its kinda the fault of the british, french and US governement after WW2. Im not antisemtic or anything, but obviously none of these countries wanted to have all the jewish people in their own country back then, so they basically just took some area and made them all settle there.
Back then basically the whole country (israel and palestina) belonged to the palestines and only a very small part was populated jews. Over time, this has changed to the opposit, and therefor I can understand how the muslims in that area are upset with the situation.
So obviously western nations had to "protect" Israel because they felt responsible for them, which is to some part good in my opinion, but has gone way too far. Now Israel knows that if it comes to a war, they would probably be able to rely on the strenght of most of the western countries.
I dont think anyone can tell who really killed those scientists, but I do think that the situation there isnt going to go good for a long time, unless both parties start talking to each other and try to figure something out that doesnt involve nuclear attacks from either side. (which is in my opinion fairly unrealistic and wont happen, but whatever)

Everyone is trying to argue with me, and say that our country was founded on terrorism as well as Isreal. Well yeah, thats true, but it was terrorism directed at an empire, and another force. Not innocent people. The Israelis killed 91 innocent people when the bombed the King David hotel in 1946, and thats just one example. After, the person who orchestrated that bombing became their prim minister. Our Revolution was based on emancipation, and the values of the enlightenment, not the killing of innocent people. Even to this day Israeli soldiers come out to say that their CO's order them to commit war crimes, such as using palestinians as human shields, and to test out areas for booby traps. I don't support Hamas, and the palestinians, I am just trying to point out that Israel is not any better.

I don't blame Iran for them wanting nuclear weapons, even if they state that the plant will used for energy purposes. Look at Iran's neighbours, Iraq, Afghanistan.. They definitely don't want their country to turn into another wasteland, so having "the bomb" will pretty much eradicate any threats. I find it very hypocritical that the only country that used the atomic bomb sanctions another country for indirectly wanting wmds. Iran is actually a peaceful country that hasn't attacked another country in hundreds of years.

If anything, Iran has every right to be mad at the US and Israel. For some of you guys that don't know; Iran ELECTED a prime minster in 1953 but this did not benefit the United States and the British. This did not benefit them because prior to the election of a democratic government, the Shah was reigning and had good relations with the West and the Brits. The reason they had great relations was because the Shah gave them a steady access to their oil (BP British Petroleum was stationed in Iran), while the elected prime minister greatly reduced the flow of oil to them. So the United States and Britain promoted the rejected Shah by organizing a coup d'etat to put him back in place; instead of the prime minister that got elected by the Iranian people.
The Shah imposed a strong dictatorship that was disliked throughout Iran, but the West and Britain obviously loved it. During his reign, he used all the oil money for military purposes instead of funding it for schools, hospitals, roads etc.. His reign lasted all the way until 1979, when the people revolted against the Shah and threw him out of the country.

The Shah was basically a puppet, used to benefit our selfish selves while people were getting tortured for protesting for democracy.

i'm lebanese too, basicallly my whole extended family lives there. i go back like twice a year, it's not that bad at all. hezbollah is now a political party more than a millitia, the only people that patrol the streets are the lebanese army, and there pussy shit.

dude youre crazy the hezbollah is the most feared terrorist organization in the world... they may have a few higher ups that have moved into politics but they are very dangerous terrorist group. I was just reading some new information about them the other day.

Beirut is beautiful no doubt, my family still has deeds to land over there but im sure we cant go claim that as ours now haha. I would go live in Beirut right now if I could, thats how awesome that place is.

I wasnt talking about people patrolling the streets haha.

I hope you know Israeli has invented alot of weapons, the uzi and the tar 21 just to name a couple, Israel would honestly woop anybodies ass that surrounds them in war, there air force is even far superior to the U.S.'s. do you know anything about Islam at all? Jerusalem contains many of their most holy sites. The dome of the rock is an extremely important holy sites for Muslims. Not to mention various other holy sites in Jerusalem. I don't care what your opinion is on how to settle the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict, but you should probably understand the issue before you form that opinion.
