well if you are breaking sth 14s then you will definitly break a cheepo binding like the one you were looking at my advise would be to put in the extra money and get the fks bindings. i need more info about you though. wieght type of skiing how and where you broke youre sths. oh and were they the driver toe or not because that will maake a huge difference
No not the driver toe. I broke the heel piece on one of them a while ago and I just broke the other one. when the skis release the brakes don't go down because the tab in the heel piece snapped. I weigh 160lbs and ski pretty aggressively. I liked the DIN range on the STH 14's but I think a DIN 12 binding might be alright. I have the DIN's on my STH's set at 9.5 and it's perfect.
you do no you either just need new brakes or new mounting parts for the brakes. The brakes will be at most $50 but you could try to just replace the metal part which might be bent. Brake mounting plates are $25 so both much cheaper then the worse binding your looking at.
No, the tabs are broken. I've already taken them to a shop and they said there isn't really anything they can do. Basically the two pieces that "sandwich" the breaks are coming apart. New brakes won't fix the problem because I've already tried.
