Help, keep landing front seat when landing switch

Today was my first day skiing this year and every time I threw a 540 or 180 i would land very front seat. I had this problem last year too and was wondering how i could stay more level in the air and land centered.

most people ever pros land switch leaning far forward i like the feeling but if not experiment with leaning more at the last part of your spin with the mountain

when you hit the jump pop a little more forward. Like when you're coming off the lip stay leaning forward

Also when you're coming around and spotting the knuckle maybe spot a little higher than normal. If you actually spot your shit some people dont

thats a good idea, I always look where Im going to land, as in where my skis are going to be, which is why I too am landing frontseat. I guess looking higher up forces my body upward as well.

thats exactly what i do. i end up staring right at the knuckle/ tips of my skis.

So i guess i should force myself to look upwards?

watch wallisch ski. emulate that. haha if only it were that easy but seriously you should try to keep looking over your shoulder when you land, not down at the ground so much.

When you land switch it should feel like your falling backwards a little bit, just enough to match the angle of the landing. Its a bit of a scary feeling, it takes some getting use to but its a mind game (was for me anyways).

get some footage of yourself and study it. it always helps to see what you do from a different perspective.

when ever you do a trick there are 4 things to always remember. Take off. Grab. Stomp. Afterbang.

if you aren't stomping and afterbanging, youre only doing 50% of the trick.


but in all seriousness, try bending a bit more (most people stiff knee it and bend 90 deg+ at the waist), be really comfortable with switch riding take some laps of just switch riding. yup

you are probably taking off backseat. backseat takeoff= backseat forwards landing and nose heavy switch landinds. It's a lot easier not notice it switch because you can't use any muscles to power through the landing like you can backseat.

Other than that, all I can suggest is to spot your landing longer while you are still forwards and just shifty your last 90ish degrees for the landing.
