Which one is more durable. I want a really burly binding that wil outlast my ar7s, wich one has the most solid construction and always releases when it need to and never when it doesent. Also i noticed that the 14 driver toepice almost floats over the ski when mounted. why does it do this and how doese it realease because i dont thing that the adjustable wings open and close. I will post a pic so that it makes more sense.
The STH Driver series is incredibly durable. I've been using the STH 16 for the past 5 years, and they've held up longer than any of the skis that they've been on. I love them, incredibly durable. The 14 will take the same amount of beating.
As for the toe being placed there, I can't explain, however, it's not something to worry about.
Have two pairs of Deadbolt's and have nothing bad to say also. Super durable, good tight fit, really good quality construction and consistent release/retention. That being said the STH series is also regarded highly and I've held them at a shop and they seem really durable too. Main difference would be the toewing adjustments on the STH and the Deadbolts without. So both are great choices, just get whichever you like better.
sth driver imo, there bomb proof, they are a little heavy but definitely take abuse, my buddy has em on his skis and he beats the shit outta them and they still work great
