ok, dont buy either brand unless you go to a shop and they say that a specific full tilt is right fot you or a specific dalbello is right for you. If you buy either and they arent the right shape or size they will be horrible no matter what so delete this thread and go to a bootfitter. Whatever they say to get GET IT. I know that you are new so im trying to just help you out befor people get mad at you for making this thread.

Dallbello, best boot out, they may be a little more expensive, but theyre no doubt the best boot out there right now. Only boot that's still made in Italy too.

Fulltilts are pieces of shit, they're just Raichle boots made over again, except for the face they put shitty intuition liners in them now.

Between the two brands Dalbello is going to be more durable and of higher quality naturally. Whichever brand fits best though, get that one. If they both fit really good than I would side with Dalbello over FT, unless your short on funds.

I'm pretty sure the dalbellos run the intuition as well, do they not?

And i founf that the dalbellos ant fts fit pretty similar, but if i did it again id go dalbello

I got a pair of dalbellos because they fit my foot far better than full tilts did. That being said the boots are very comparable. I personally think Dalbellos are better because they focus on the little things. You can replace the soles on the bottom and I like their buckle design better.

Just get what fits and I bet you'll be a very happy guy.

I understand that I need to try on boots and get the ones that fit me the best but I was just trying to learn more about those two boots because I like how they have the adjustable flex. If there are anymore boots with adjustable flex that I could possibly try on just post them on here.

its all about trying the boots on. i wont ever ski a different boot than full tilts. they fit my foot perfectly and i love everything about them, no problems. i tried on a dalbello last year and my foot was it so much pain it was ridiculous

Full tiltls are the original 3 piece boot. They have a very nice flex and i love them. I recently purchased booters after getting fitted and i love them. They are so much better than the boots i had before that werent three piece. Dallbello has a few models that are three pice boots with a similer desighn to the full tilts. the only thing is with dalbellos if you want to get a pair of three piece boots that have intuition liners like all full tilts do you will have to speand 700$ (i think somewhere around there) wile you can get booters for 350. It all depends on what fits you. if you want to learn more go to www.fulltiltboots.com there is a very informative video about there boots on that site google dalbello boots and you will find there site too. good luck i hope you are lucky enough to have a foot that fits either brand because both are awsome

700, really? He has to buy that exact boot? And if you're first post didn't look like it came from a 12 year old I would give you a little more cred. Get off the OP's thread because your just regurgitating information he can find elsewhere. So he can get booters for 350, but what if he doesn't want a 102mm last or watever the heck it is. Maybe his foot is smaller and he wants to pony up for the classic or hotdogger in which case he can find a comparable dalbello boot price-wise if they fit. And as stated before, Dalbello=more durable. Not saying that FT's are bad, but there are pros and cons to each so don't go off of prices especially when the cheapest, laziest boot might not fit him.

You can also check out Nordica Ace of Spades, Dead Money and Double Six. It's more likely that any of these fit better than Dalbello's or Full Tilt's because the have a wider last (100mm, wich is standardfor boots ). They are all 3-piece designs and have progressive flex. You have to tear my Ace of Spades boots out of my cold dead arms..

But as said before, go to a bootfitter.

going to put intuitions in my rampages when the liners bite the dust.

to op,

this is assuming both boots fit your foot.

if money isnt an issue i would go with the dalbello cross or higher so you get an intuition liner, plus the boot is just super quality compared to the ft's with the shitty cable system, who wants to have a broken cable?

the cross and up all use a buckle system where the clip part is on a bolt which threads into a nut for micro adjustment, can you get much more durable than that?

and with dalbello you can adjust forward lean and other things, which is helpful if you know what more and less forward lean will help with. and since you made a thread like this im assuming you dont, so go get some tod wallnut hotdoggers and you will be the best skier on the mountain.

i dont have experience with dalbello but i have fulltillts and they are amazing. That being said, go to a bootfitter. like everyone else says, bootfitters can tell you what fits your foot and you can try on whatever you like. they can also make adjustments and customize the boot for you, usually for free when you buy there. and question: can't you adjust the forward lean with fulltilts as well? i thought there were wedges that let you do that or something, but i'm not sure.

Full tilts are most likely the way to go though as they won't cost a fortune if you break something.

Dalbello... just from a quality standpoint. if FT's fit your feet better, get em. but dalbello's quality is unmatched. nice buckles, good material, and the il moro has this nice ass cinch strap/buckle thing similar to snowboard binding cinchers. so nice.

i've had my dalbello shells for 2 years now, still goin strong and just got new custom liners. best boot ever

I've got Dalbello Krypton Rampages with ID liners. Not cheap, but they're easily the comfiest boots I've ever owned. Really this is a matter of preference. The Rampages offer a lot of support, which is another plus for me whereas full tilt boots are flexier.

I went from Dalbellos (Il Moro ID) to Full Tilts (Konflict) and am very happy about it.

The FTs are a lot lighter. I also prefer the buckle system. I never really liked the ratchet on the Il Moro and I broke it once too. Liners are the same in both boots, Intuition PowerWrap.

With the Dalbellos the top of my boot was always too loose, no matter how much I tightened the ratchet. On FTs I can use the power strap to really tighten the liner around my foot and then put the tongue on top of that. Works a lot better for me.

Many say that the standard buckles on Dalbellos are better than the cable system on Full Tilts. I disagree. The micro-adjusting buckles that you have to spin are a pain in the ass to adjust, whereas on FTs you just slide the buckle on the track. Easier and faster. The FT system is lighter too.

The bottom buckle leaks a little (i'm assuming you are talking about the original and not the influence shells). I put a piece of duct tape on the inside of where the buckle and cable are attached and it solved the problem for me.

What are the Intuition liners? I've heard of them but don't really know what they are and why they are so great. Could you also make a list of the pros and cons of each boot? I know a lot of people have already done it and it helps a lot! Just post anymore you have.

But get what fits!!! All of that means nothing if the boot doesn't fit!

Intuition liners are just heat moldable liners for your foot that expand when heated and pack away where your foot is but fill in any empty space.
Sooo worth it.

Some boots will have them in dalbello's line and I believe all full tilts have them. They are extra if they dont come with the boot. You might be able to talk the shop into giving you a free pair though if you buy though them/are a loyal customer but thats pushing it.

I just switched from FT to Dalbello. I work at a shop and got a spankin deal on cross id's. IT IS a FACT that Full Tilt's liners are shitty compared to Dalbello intuitions. Full Tilt's are closed cell foam on the inside and open cell foam on the outside. Whereas Dalbello's are much more closed cell foam on the inside and little open cell on the outside. Closed cell foam is what molds to your foot and that's why you get a much better fit with Dalbello's. But I will say that I have only had one run on the dalbello's (hopefully get some more in today), and they were killing my foot as it they are used to my Full Tilts of which I skied 50+ days on last year. To me, I would say Dalbello has a much better fit out of box and is definitely better quality.

Yes, Full Tilt is the original 3-piece boot. But remember that the design is almost 30 years old and has not changed although our knowledge of biomechanics has vastly increased.

Yes, Dalbello boots are more expensive. But remember that alot more R&D has gone into making them. The new Contour4 shell design is one of the best fitting shells in the industry. Let me tell you from someone that owns both Booters and Kryptons, Booters don't even come close to holding a candle to anything in the Krypton line up.

Yes, Full Tilt boots all come with Intuition liners at a better price. But remember that there are different levels of Intuition liners. Dalbello does not screw around with lower end liners and you get the top of the line liners.

Bottom line, if one of these boots fits you perfectly, get it! But don't go into a shop with your mind set on a pair of Full Tilts or Dalbellos because the fact of the matter is that you will more than likely be disappointed. Listen to what the bootfitter you're working with tells you and don't be afraid to ask questions. If you can get rational explanations from him on everthing he's suggesting you have a good one. If he can't give you a good explanation as to why he's choosing this or that boot, it's time to leave or find another fitter.

dalbellos great boot had the kryptons then bought the il moros, super comfy but my main issue and its a big one is that they have no removable toe piece. so once the toe gets worn down ur done. have to buy new boots when it should be a $20 fix. wont buy another pair of them until they realize this easy fix. so frustrtating cuz they a great boot

The reason a lot of companies still make boots like this is because there are benefits to it. Lower stand height, better snow feel, more boot-fitting options, etc. You can always get a 3mm lifter installed on the sole if you are worried about wearing out your bottoms. It will only lift you up about the width of an edge, but it will allow you to walk through them and then replace the lifter as needed.

on the topic of those, you think you could repair those if they ever got really worn? maybe by using plastic or really hard resins? I mean, i could think of a few resins that feel harder than the plastic on my il moros. resculpting to the correct shape would be the biggest issue i would imagine.
