Salomon Czar or Blog Length

Hi,

  I am 135 lbs and 5'8 tall and I need to know what size to be looking for that will be OK for now and not be too big but that I can grow into, I am either going to get Salomon Czar skis, Atomic blog skis or something along those lines and I would like to know what size I should be looking for so I was wondering what length skis are the guys out there my size skiing on as fo powder and crud (NO PARK!)

I know czar comes in 174 and 182 and the Blog I would probably have to get 177 because I would imagine 185 is too big

And the 182's wouldn't be too big cuz if I could settle for the 174's I could pick em up for $450

i think the 182 will be perfect. it will give you room to grow. and because of the czar's rocker shape they will ski shorter than that. you would out grow a 174 pretty fast since your still growing

You do know that these two models are pretty much as far away from each other as possible?
The Blog is a really fun skis, who is really easy to ski and turns on a dime. The czar is not playfull at all, and the 40m turn radius makes it feel like a train when you wanna carve with it.

As for size, 185 blogs I say, no doubt.

I know a kid like 6' 1, 170 lbs or something that is skiing rockered skis 186, 185 would be like twice my size haha

182. My friend is your size, and he rode the 182 for two seasons. If you are charging and skiing powder, you'll want a longer ski. More stability at high speeds, and better landings.

Ok sick so I should be looking for a ski 177-184 then, I am really torn between

-Salomon czar 182

-Atomic Blog 177 (I don't think I am good enough for 185)

-Rossignol S6, only bummer is there size is 174 or 185 so I may have to rule it out

-Surface Live life 181

Live Life's at 181 are really similar to the Czar, bit softer in the nose, medium stiff underfoot. More of a traditional powder rocker profile. Great ski for everything. I'd recommend them for sure

I just don't want to be the shitty skier on the newest nicest stuff you know? People would look at me like I just have my parents get me everything I want and I never work for anything but that wouldn't be the case. I am sure you have seen people like that. All the money for the skis would come out my pocket except the bidnings which would have to be under $200.

I have been skiing for a year now and I can ski pretty much everything but I need to get better in the choppy crud and 3's. Just got to ski a ton between now and Christmas.

But yeah, I don't think I am going to get the S6 rossi's, too long/short and I don't really like the graphics.

hey, if your parents are nice enough to buy you whatever skis you want, reguardless of price, then let them! who cares what other people think... i'd rather have nice skis.

Don't worry what people think of you. New stuff is amazing, and it can give you confidence in your skiing. As long as you're out there having fun on your skis, and learning new stuff. You're happy

You should not be intimidated of a long ski. The Atomic Blog is a ski with a pretty big amount of rocker, so the ski will feel very short when you're on them. The 185 is the ski that is best suited for you, buying the shorter model will only lead to a skiiing experience who could have been much more fun with a longer pair of skis.

Trust me, the Blog in 185 is what you want. The skis are more like 182-183 if I remember correct.
