No, padding would get in the way and stiffen you up way to much.

impact shorts don't really interfere at all. I've tried them before. I feel like they don't do anything for hard landings but for light falls they can take a bit of the edge off. but if the snow is soft then they really don't do anything.

I read somewhere that most concussions are from your teeth smacking together, but then I just looked it up and said thats complete bS, even still I've taken some shots to my mouth really hard from my ski pole handle, and my buddy knocked 3 teeth out on a landing from his ski pole handle... so its probably a decent Idea

helmet and probably a mouthguard for big jump days now, last year knucked a good size kicker comin around just past 720 and it rattled my cage pretty hard

got impact shorts after a bad crash where i grew a 3rd ass cheek and now have permanent hematoma. Only really wear them when i ski park all day or  want to learn new stuff which isn't a lot anymore.

i wear my street hockey breezers under my ski pants - they're basically impact shorts. I've taken too many hip shots to not wear them when I ski rails. I love em.

No but seriously, a tecnopro spine protector which has a bit of padding on the front too, and poc impact shorts, i had the worts bruises on my hip last year, it was swollen as fuck too..
Oh and a helmet ofc.

everybody should atleast use the spine protector, my friend broke his back early season last year, and would now be paralized without it

i want hip pads. I had a snowboarder induced fall on a rail and hit my hip and had extreme bruising and it hurt so bad when I had to sit in class and in lab I stood the whole time haha.

if you plan to do crazy shit, then get a back protector and/or impact shorts, wrist guards, etc. you should have a helmet on regardless because you never know when a gaper will crash into you. but it basically just depends on your preference.
i find if i put on more 'padding', i get paranoid easier and have second thoughts aka the worst thing for me.

Helmet, Spine protector dealy + impact shorts. I don't find they get in the way at all, you get used to them really quickly.

Impact shorts are vital so the FKS heelpiece doesn't try to make gentle love to me if I backslap.

no but I should. I'm looking into impact shorts since I take a lot of falls to my hip and side. My roomie last year wore a back protector on-and-off. it made sense to him but never appealed to me.

I have worn knee pads since two years ago when I shattered my knee cap on a rail. I haven't fallen on my knee since then though so I'm not sure if they're necessary

very big on helmets and mouthguards when skiing bc my family has had many concussions and i just find it stupid when people don't wear one because you cant tell that you have them on...

im thinking about a using back protector (if you have any suggestions on what types are good pm me please!)

Helmet, back protector, and impact shorts

I think it makes me push myself harder when i have padding because i have less consequences. It is probably the reason i flipped on my 7th day ever skiing

helmet and my old under armor football girdle, i always wreck my hips and tailbone so hard so it helps a tad bit, i only wear the girdle on the ice coast though

I got a free pair of shorts that have hip and thigh pads in them, but are designed for snowboarders so only falls directly sideways or backwards are padded. still help though.
