The US government needs to fuck off already. This is outrageous, US citizens need to wake up and stop letting the government run their lives. The government continues to blatantly disregard the constitution and take away more and more rights from the people. And the people just roll over and take it. Now they want to censor the internet, what right do they have to decide what I can and can't view. It saddens me that bills like this even make it to the floor, let alone have a great possibility of passing. The US is due for a revolution and I hope it happens soon. If not we are going to see a lot of changes for the worse. We need to take the power back, remind the people in power that they work for us not the other way around.

i mean technically, they are just protecting copy rights online in the same way they are doing off-line.

Honestly, how I see it is just a bunch of old baby boomers in congress making these stupid rules. Once they die off, im sure these rules will be gone with different generations taking office. Like when our generation gets into congress, it will be awesome! We already think and do things so much more differently that it will be a complete opposite to how they operate now.

IMO, just my opinion and shouldn't not be taking as a serious.

i am just tired of "us" rich westeners crying about the slightest problems when we have enough to eat, clean water to drink, a warm house and easy access to education and healthcare.

some kid in a third world country starving day in day out and drinking mud hearing that would probably shoot himself if he could afford a gun.

appreciate what we have. and an censor law, besides the fact that some guys will be able to counteract it efficiently does not make the US a shithole.

so if the government decided to put a camera in every persons house, watching their every action we shouldnt worry about it because someone has it worse across the world?

just because there are third world countries out there is not even close to a valid reason to ignore strides towards tyranny and a blatant disregard for the constitution on our own soil. i dont even know what kind of logic that is

4chan works fine too. the first time i went i just had to X out of that "add" and now it just has a banner above all the different boards giving you the option to write to congress or whatever

i am not saying that you shouldnt care about anything. just remember once in a while that A LOT OF stuff has to go down the shitter for us to be in a really bad situation.

and protecting copyrights is probably not disregarding constitution.

its not really an argument. its just an overall way of living i guess. can you appreciate what you have and not go apeshit over every little thing?

be satisfied once in a while, step back and look at what you have and such minor things as the occupy-movement, this law, obamas healthcare or whatever shouldnt be a reason to cry for a revolution.

Petitions are going to change anything at this point.


If people really want to make a difference... Learn as much as you can, plenty of information is available in libraries or on the intranets. Those that are 18, stop voting for shitty candidates.


People bitch about out government sucking then go out and vote for mccain, obama, bush, clinton, and all kinds of other shitty candidates that received tons of votes.

we all appreciate what we have, just most people dont show their appreciation in a way you can see. there is nothing wrong with going apeshit when a government or any organisation for that matter makes a crappy move, hell if we didnt go apeshit over that like that we would have been fucked along time ago.

It's still a bill and probably won't even make it to the floor for voting.

Even if it does make it as far as voting, congress is so split and worthless that it probably won't even get passed, that and President Obama backing net neutrality over this bill.

I would hardly call 39 million daily hits "well known and popular"

Hence why I posted the stats for Reddit and Youtube. Both of which are well known and popular.

I stand by my first comment. The only people that know or care about 4chan are internet nerds. I guarantee if I asked a group of 30 of my friends, 1, MAYBE 2, would know what 4chan is.
