Beginner music mixing software? (PC)

Looking to mix some songs, don't know how to.


Want to be able to mix 2 tracks together, or just edit one in various ways, nothing too fancy. Maybe ability to make your own beats.

Preferably something with as flat a learning curve as possible.

Probably the easiest way to fuck around would be vdj. Not a really awesome program though.

like the guy above me said if you just wanna mix virtual dj is your best bet, very simple layout but really cant do a whole lot, as for making beats maybe try something like fruity loops, its interface is also fairly simple (compared to reason or ableton)

IF you have the full version you can actually do quite a bit with fruity loops. The nice thing with that is it's pretty simple to figure out the easier functions and play with it so it's not one of those things you have to go balls deep into to get it to work.

Reason is dope but a little more complicated. I agree he'd prolly have a better time with flstudio.

yeah im aware i used fl for a couple months before i got live, its quite a powerful program, great for a beginner was just expressing programs like live and reason are a lot more complcated but you have much bigger libraries, instruments sampes packs etc.
vdj was the one i was emphasizing as basic, really not much flexibility with it but itll do what this guy needs.

For sure. You can make some shit in fl, mix the loops around in something like acid, then fuck around with it in vdj and really get a decent amount done in a short time if you're just looking to fuck around.

vdj is really boring but somehow this kid at my school uses it for partys and school dances and makes like 350$

Pretty smart actually. I could probably rake in 1000 bucks a night by playing skrillex through itunes and dancing.

People would be like zomg dubstep is awesome, he p[lays skrillexm zomg awesome dj.

FREE cloud mixing software. It's pretty powerful and more intuitive than FL. Plus you get access to a huge library of user uploaded loops. Watch some of the tutorials to get started.
