Should I buy a car or invest?

Alight NS after Steve Jobs died i some of my apple stock which i inherited from my grandparents , now here comes the question

should i buy a 2009 Mercedes CLS 63 AMG, a car i have always wanted and can now afford, or should i just invest it all back into stocks

with another recession on its risky to put it in the market, but I dont want it sitting around in a account either

Cars are money pits. Terrible investments. But if you get great joy out of owning it then it could be worth it. That being said, I would go to a credible investor and get him to invest your money for long run prosperity. Your money should grow significantly in the long run if you keep it invested. I wouldn't try and invest it yourself tho, unless you're good at that shit.

Seriously dude, invest.
You already have an A8 and I highly doubt you would unleash the full potential of that AMG.

If you can buy an AMG, you should have plenty of stock to bring in some profit.
And even if you don't want to make any effort: park the money in swiss bank account, Swiss Francs are stable as fuck and interest is reasonable.

Me and a couple of friends all laid in a reasonable sum of money and one of them who is really into stocks is using that to buy/sell stocks and invest. In one year we are already 35% up.

I'd like to say you are very not smart for selling any apple stocks what so ever at this time. So if in fact this isn't bs. do not invest because you obviously don't know shit about the market. Buy a car but not some mercedes buy a good dependable cheaper car. Because youre a kid and don't need a mercedes just save whatever money you have left from the car.

why Is everyone hating because this guy has stock that he got from his grandpa and he made a good profit off it. He also have an a8, which means he may or may not have worked his ass off to get that. You guys don't know anything about this guy and you are just making assumptions that he is a rich snotty 16 year old that gets everything from his dad.

I would hold onto your cash and stuff your money under a mattress. greece/europe is very unstable so investments could be risky as fuck. buying a car will just tie up your cash in a very hard to liquidize state in which we all call a luxury automobile. if the economy takes a hit, you wont sell your car for a while and/or your stocks will almost certainly be between a rock and a hard place on the edge of a cliff over a shark infested ocean.

I would do some research before making a bold statement like that.
I'd be more scared of the U.S.A. collapsing.

Western Europe is very wealthy and especially the banks.
They just fail hesitant to bail out Greece because Greece fucked up themselves. The easily can however.

For investments it's a great time.
A moving market like right now provides opportunity's that would otherwise not surface.
It's especially easy to get some quick money if you know what you are doing.

Can't give to much information, since it's me and my friends little scheme.

We basically gathered roughly 400.000 euros, (some guys are pretty rich.)
One person controls this amount, he is an expert on stocks and investments.
Because he has such a large sum, he is taking pretty seriously as an investor.

He uses multiple banks notably Swiss.

He is basically like our own personal Gordon Gekko, complete with a crazy screen set-up.

Four-hundred thousand euros.

Sorry for the confusion in basically all of Europe we use a comma as the decimal mark and thus a point as the thousand separator. I'm just really used to that and always forget it when posting on a U.S. website.

invest it. there may be other times in the future where we ride the wall street roller coaster but if you invest now there is money to be made. There will always be a new bmw or whatever to buy. Be patient, let your money grow, then you can get your dope ass car down the road. but if you do decide on the car, get a carfax just in case. you dont want grandma's money being poured into the merc.

I'll give you a tip or two, holla through a pm if you want more. Invest it, and I personally would be wary of apple. Not just because of Jobs death but because there is too much uncertainty going forward. Dig into other markets, for one, rental reits. Stay as far away from hotel reits as you can, but there are some solid rental reits out there with the economy sitting as it is. The vix would have been good a few years ago, and may still be good now but it really depends on how you're valuing the volatility of the current economy.

Wrong. Buy something unique, something classic and rare. I don't know the pricetag on the Mercedes but i'm sure you could find something legendary for that price which will keep its value much better if not increase.

Okay so....

A price range for a 2009 Mercedes CLS 63 AMG is anywhere from 45,000- 55,000 based on millage obviously.

Today Apple closed at 369.80..
A little estimated math tells me you would have had to sell around 135 shares of apple. (interesting tactic... but its your money)

I would say invest it again.. Things to look at are diversification of your stocks, look into sectors like oil, general care, tobacco, and technology.

You have to fish a little bit for your self but look into GE and PHILIP MORIS. good luck

Apple is still a good stock, there is a reason hedge funds love it. Look at it's figures on google finance and you will realize it's fine. If you really want to make money wait for some big disaster. I know it sounds real horrible but disasters are opportunities. Look at bp after the oil rig disaster, the average investor was stupid and thought they were fucked so it created an insanely undervalued stock. Look at Japan and the earthquake, construction companies went sky high, Japanese companies(one car company in particularly) got cheap and would've earned you a nice buck, you could have made a killing with some nuclear power based stocks.

I personally am eyeing netflix, I think it's undervalued but i'm not for sure on that one.
