i have the new suspects hear there a lot better this year the ar7's s4 scratchs or punx??

honestly, they are not way better, maybe not even better at all. the biggest thing with salomon is that they are not very durable. i hope this helps

Suspects should be the last resort. Go with AR7's or punx.

get punx. suspects get destroyed so easily. punxs are a nice flexy ski that hold up very well

This.  Considering you weren't entirely specific.  Some info that would help us help you:  do you prefer jumps or rails?  Soft and buttery or stiff?  Rocker?

i own punx and suspects , punx are real soft , i have my dins set higher on those than my suspects because there so soft i can bust out of the binds sometimes, there pretty good , take a beating, they get a bit squirilly on groomers if u get an sort of speed because there so soft , unless u are tiny and light, then they will be good

i would rate suspects better though i love mine , the topsheet does chip easy but the edges are fine , they are alot stiffer, they feel super solid when you land on them, they are more versaitle than punx , due to stiffness and being a bit wider

id say if if are lightweight get punx , heavier consider suspects

i love it how every member of ns has owned at least 2 pairs of suspects and they break all the time..most ppl are just posting what they read without having actually used the ski.

The thall is gonna be perfect it's gonna let you press the tips and tails but still be sturdy underfoot for when you wanna hit jumps

have you ever ridden the suspects? they are the best feeling skis out there IMO. but if your not getting a new pair free every year theyre probably not worth it

If you're a competent skier, 171 will be perfect for someone your height and weight.

A lot of times people at shops have no idea what they're talking about.  For example, my friend had a shop refuse to mount his skis center.

You will be fine on 170-range skis.

I remember one time my skis were getting a tune up so I rented for a day trip guy didn't ask me my ability weight or anything just gave me a pair and said thesell work. Worst ski day of my life. Not to bash all ski shops but some wanna move stock, sell certain products, rather than getting you the right ski

The punx, AR7 and suspect are all great skis but quite differnt. The punx are pretty soft in my opion so they make a great jib ski and park ski for smaller skiers. The ar7 ae great, there mid stiff and there great all over the mountain. The suspect is the stiffest, so its the best for big jumps and rails. There also great all mountain bt not as good as teh AR7 in powder. Durability wise I have broken AR7's and have seen a couple of pairs of suspects and punx that broke. Overall there pretty much the same durability wise, but beaware that the 50/50 construction armada use is not as easy to fix as either the punx or suspect, so when the armadas break there pretty much done.

I have the 09 walls and 2010 walls.... Both of them are really sick and I beat the shit of them. No edge cracks at all. I skied around 50 days last year not including urban and they held up perfect
