I can throw a cork 7 and land clean every time on my shit trampoline (14ft circular $300 walmart tramp). Im trying to learn a dub 10 or at least 9 but whenever i throw for it i land on my back in a 7. Does this mean i have everything right and just need more airtime or im throwing myself wrong?
Or is there a special way to tuck/ throw yourself??
film yourself doing the profession double and make sure that you start your second rotation at or before the peak of your bounce, if so, tuck in and you should be able to pull it around to your feet.
Practice cork 7s with little to no bounce. Then jump really hard and set just as hard as when you were barely jumping. At 7 you should be back on axis, at this point you're gonna wanna kind of set again, and tuck. Should bring you around. If you feel you're not gonna make it at 7, just relax and you should be able to fall onto your back
go super inverted on the cork 7 so you come out of it with air time still and l land on your back while visualizing doing a backfip after the 7. if you do that enough times you should have the feel for it to go for it. just ball up supper tight and commit to it and boom you just learned dub cork 10.
cant stress the commit part enought though. once you decide to go for it, do it 100 percent. it is a trick that is scarier than it is hard.
dub corks are kinda tough, so ease yourself into them by doing one and a half, either grab mute or but your hands under your thighs and tuck your knees to your chest. also watch people do it on skis and watch how they throw themselves into the rotation, and try to replicate that throw, just make it hard. AND make damn sure you put your momentum up into the air, because the first dub corks are really hard to spot the landing, and if your air awareness isnt great, theres a good chance of shooting off the tramp. but do 1 and a half to see where you travel in the tramp, and prepare yourself for traveling that way
