I usually ski MSLM but its kind of a pain to get to, which park within an hours drive of Toronto is best? I'm mainly trying to decide between Dagmar or Lakeridge.
dude gta is toronto. and trust me ive tried everyone close to toronto and they all suck. its worth the drive to louis no one in ontario compares that is closer to toronto. if you want to drive 5 minutes and do shit hills hit up earl bales or uplands but your really just wasting the money you spend on a lift ticket becuase they have virtually no park at all
MSLM is the best for sure, Back in the day blue used to be pretty sick, but dont think ive been there since like 05? Just drive an extra 40 hours west past mslm and youll find some fun stuff.
alright well obviously bales, centennial, other city ski hills are shit. I was talking about the hills just outside the city like kirby, glen, brimacombe, dagmar, lakeridge. i guess i'll just keep going to louis then ahah
totes agree! I've tried all the places close to toronto (public and private) it is worth your money and time to go to mslm or blue mountain cuz laps around Glen Eden is flat as a golf course and isn't even considered a hill in my books... But at least Glen Eden (close by like saugz/hamilton/guelph area) has a terrain park for a pretty shittty place ya knw and certain days/nights are dirty cheap
from Toronto... Blue is another half hour to an hour depending on traffic from louis/horseshoe/snow valley/barrie... personally I like Blue better cuz there's more runs, bigger hill... but you gotta pay an extra fee if you wanna use the terrain park.. BOTH are not "mountains" but seeing as we live in ontario what do you expect
i'm going to have to respectfully disagree, when they first put a new feature in its sick but they don't groom it once the rest of the season, its not great but its also not terrible because when you go to a real hill it just makes everything that much easier
I ski Glen Eden and its cheap as hell and night skiing gets pretty empty, also Snow Valley is good for laps cause there's rarely anyone there except there biggest jump is about 20ft so casual jibbing is really all you can do but the park is rarely full which makes up for it.
Louis is about 1:15-20 (with minimal traffic) from me and I'm in the east end of Scarborough, adding on a good fifteen minutes of travel time. So from downtown, an hour sounds about right.
As for the best park that's CLOSE, Lakeridge, hands down.
Ahah maybe I wasn't clear enough, my question was what park IN the GTA, as in WITHIN the greater toronto area. Barrie and Collingwood are not in the GTA.
