yup first 2-3 days sucks, a week gets a little better, after a month its no biggie, then 3 months hits and for some reason it gets harder to stay clean, your mind wants to reward itself by getting high/drunk.

Yayy for being sober! Haven't smoked in like a year and a half. I'm so much more productive in day to day life. And I don't drink intensively (like never more than a buzz). Life's good, I enjoy doing shit a lot more when I'm not fucked up.

Yay bud so stoked for ya.  Shows will be tough to go sober, but I am guessing you got a ton of good people supporting you.  I would ask for deetz but none of my business.  I have a lot of friends who gone sober and they are doing well.  One day at a time!

this labor day weekend Ill have benn sober for a whole year. it feels like a big accomplishment, but I dont try to push sobriety on people, I just didnt mix well with alchohal and finally figured it out

Yeah for sure. I had knocked out a few things before and notice that. At first it was like nah but yeah. As soon as anything came around. Hoping that I'll just get completely used to it and it will be no big deal.

nah. Haven't blazed for over a year. That was fucking with my head.

More a necessity thing right now. Too many concussions plus other problems. Brain= toasted.

And i don't have a job. Passing a drug test is easy anyway. And stopping for a few weeks to pass one doesn't really count as much sobriety.

It's been almost a year and a half. Wild shit. Also started dipping/smoking cigs again because I couldn't deal with it. But quit those for good about 2-3 months after and haven't done either since.

So for over a year been legit legit sober.


I don't think it's made me less depressed though. Oh well, surprised I made it this long

Being sober is really hard. Really hard. I've abused a couple of things here and there and it's a long dark, lonely road.

I quit smoking cigarrettes this past year and it has been so great. I've cut back on my drinking (I feel you on the concussion circuit) and drug use, just occasional grass here and there.

I always think of it in terms of... well, if I wasn't saying no right now, I'd be saying yes and waking up pissed and a whole lot poorer.

Just keep your head up, find good things to replace the holes left by the bad ones and it can get easier every day.

For sure. I go to a ton of shows and am around everything you've heard of and things you haven't every day all summer and a decent amount the rest of the year. At first it was a pain in the ass but I'm so used to it. I can brush off it off no problem when people offer me things. So used to it so far.

a bunch of states plus Canada.

All in 2012, all 100% sober. It's weird that there's people I consider good friends by this point that never knew of me not sober.

Maybe I'll still be on this wagon in another year.

What do you think would happen if you fell off the wagon and started getting fucked up again? Just curious.

Personally I don't use substances regularly...so when I drink a few beers things are fine I just have 2-10 beers and then go chill and watch some tv or whatever. But should I drink a lot and get fucked up my tolerance is low and there's a 80% chance I get arrested or similarly humiliate myself. Its really annoying I can't put down large amounts of alcohol and function anymore, but oh well comes with not boozing up daily. Probably haven't done a bump in months but I'd do some if someone offered me a line of yayo I'd do it. If someone had tabs around I'd def drop one. Shit is cool drugs are "recreational" for a reason I like them and I haven't done any in the last month. But there is no gay ass sober wagon or anything I just am not doing them.



So I am sort of calling bullshit on your expertise about sticking drugs up your ass since you clearly don't do them. This is all some desperate shit you spout out out of boredom for attention is my guess. Someone who can go to 70 Jam shows without even hitting a joint that is passed to him is definitely a pussy with his drugs. I mean if your in that scene and you consider weed any different than cigarettes your a huge one already, knowmean?

I am really not talking shit either I am just curious why the forum expert on anal induced highs hasn't touched a substance in 18 months? Especially if you go to that many shows. There has to be some reason for that much hardcore sobriety....

I don't understand the weed/cig comment.

And I pretty much broke my brain. Stopped doing a few things the first time. Then shit got bad with everything and got pretty scary. Now I don't really know what I'm doing. Your brain can only take so much abuse. And I'm in the redzone on concussions alone.
