So, i thought it would be cool to make a thread full of advice and tips for getting the best shots possible with a go pro camera. I have noticed that getting an excellent shot isnt actually very easy with a go pro, so i thought if people had any pointers they could post them in here. I now this thread could belong in gear talk or media and arts but i thought it should start in ski gabber where it would get going a little faster. so if you have any advice please post in this thread.

For GoPro I have always used the chest strap mount, in my opinion it is MILES better then helmet mounting, you really get a fuller experiance seeing arm and ski movement, so much better I would recommend every single gopro skier get onto the chest mount. Also for those of you with the chest mount, run the j-mount upside down and flip the camera upside down (not forgetting to go into the menu and record the footage the right way up again), gives you the ability to angle the camera a lot further up.

i would have to completely disagree. i think the chest mount footy looks terrible because sometimes the skiers arms and shit gets in the way. also, on a pow day, most of the time the snow will end up on the lens of the camera and you cant see shit.
