anybody know about any good bootfitters in Seattle? I need to get mine molded and I want to know who people consider the best in seattle, based on personal experiences or who is regarded as some of the best. Also post prices if you can. Thanks
If you want a non-store option, Jim Mates in Greenwood (does all sorts of stance alignment, canting, etc). There is also another guy, Kelly something. If you're interested, I can dig out the name.
Jim is good, but expensive. Worth it if you can never seem to get get your boots dialed.
Kelly Timmions has a good rep, but I would stay away. He is not as good as Jim Mates, and is quite expensive as well.
As far as shops go, I am biased, but I would place sturts at the top of the list, Seattle ski does good work, and evo is alright if you just need width or a toe punch.
Who's currently worth getting fitted by/avoiding at Sturtevants? It's been a few years since I was fitted there and I know the staff has changed a few times.
Nothing out of the ordinary, just time for new boots. I was in several weeks ago and they were still waiting on some boots to arrive. I will need to head in at some point in the near future.
Still waiting on the Cochise boots and a full size run of Bodacious. Otherwise we should be up on your size in anything worth skiing in. Give me a call when you come in.
I believe you spelled this wrong. It should be "Jim is god"
My dad has been goin to him for years and years, and this year I got a new pair of boots and got footbeds and the full fit from Jim and they are simply amazing.
