Covid Real estate boom which trickled into consumer spending after lockdowns and accelerated as prices soared in response to huge demand increase. They realized they could increase prices as people had a lot of cash they were sitting on and itching to get out. Record corporate profits happened and now many Americans are cash poor and in debt.
The writing was on the wall the last 2 years. Market always corrects but everyone put their head in the sand. So now a lot of people actually make less while things costs more due to “inflation”. Or they don’t have jobs.
I could go on and on but it’s just such BS man and people are being affected.

Anyone have experience with folding kayaks? Don't want to give up my tiny fast car for a big slow car just yet. Worth the price? I like the idea and honestly a folding sea yak is not about the same price as a normal one from a good brand, allthough I imagine you're losing some performance there.

except theres a lot of big corporations with cash in these banks and other banks that were owned by SVB. My moms small business is literally gone overnight, literally days away from transferring over to a local non-affiliated bank. Shit sucks and always fucks over the little guy, not some dickheads in California who WFH or NEETs. These have tremendous ripple effects if it gets worse i.e 2008

why do you need to put your boat inside your car? Kayaks are light and you can put them on top of a small car with foam no rack. Folding boat sounds cool if it’s any good though especially if you can reasonably hike or bike trails with it

Damn dude that sucks. I’ve seen the gates they close and experienced wind in those frontier towns. They get absolutely ripped up with wind and snow. Can’t even see the road. Tbh you might be safer going through I-70 in the future, as crazy as it sounds. Vail Pass and Glenwood Canyon are really your only concerns but they’re usually open. I’ve experienced a blizzard on I-70 near De Beque. It was scary, couldn’t see a damn thing, but I managed to pull off into a gas station. It passed quickly.
