Turd__AuthorityYeah nursing pay models are wack, especially when picking up call offs for bonus. Our hospital does some weird model where they pay a bonus only if they pick up x amount of shifts and work all those shifts. Any missed days and poof you get no bonus. Really fucked up.

my dad had an old Saturn with the clear coat and some paint flaking off as well, it certainly is an interesting look!

Oh wow. Do you use things like booster straps? My first thought is micro movements and impact or you pulled something. Do you have ANY movement in your calf area like at all?

Yessir, I’ve got booster straps - I don’t always tighten them up though, it feels more comfortable to keep em a little loose so there’s a bit of give. Also pinches my legs a bit between the tongue, if the straps are too tight… maybe that’s not how they are meant to be used though.
Doesn’t feel like I pulled something - was tender to the touch a month ago after a rough landing, but over time the bruises got worse, and the pain went away lol
and yes - there’s about an inch gap in my upper calf area when I flex forward in my boots !
I’m going to take a gander that what is happening is your calf is slamming into the padding/shell and that’s what is causing that. Crank the booster strap down. What’s nice about it is that it’s elastic aka dynamic and keeps your shin/calf pressed against the shell and tongue. Want to mitigate that movement. I’ll never go back to no booster straps.

RIP to my trusty blue Nalgene. My indestructible outdoor water bottle companion has finally met its demise. It survived falling off a cliff and getting lost in the river overnight. I replaced the lid after it was melted by the dishwasher. But it couldn't survive being run over by my car this morning. Snatched from this world too soon, you will be missed blue Nalgene. Gone but not forgotten.

I'm kinda glad I moved out of the Heber valley/wasatch country area in hindsight. Far too many people, a laughably-bad housing market, (I can't believe what people are paying up there to smell horse shit and deal with mormons or californians), and dogshit infrastructure/road ways. Utahs issue now with their big growth boom is that they're caught with their dick in their hands and are like 10-15 years too late and can't keep up at a governmental level.
