cydwhitI'm of the opinion that all public hot springs on public land are all clothing-optional as soon as the sun sets. Don't bring your kid after dark, there's gonna be genitalia. And nude hot springs is an infinitely better experience than clothed. Doesn't even compare.
Where it gets trickier is in the daytime. The further from the road any spring is, the more it leans towards being appropriate to be nekkid in the daytime. And if there are multiple pools available, then choose a pool to be nekkid in, and leave another for clothed folks. I'm always trying to be sensitive to not being naked around people who don't want to see a naked hairy dude, but honestly, if you show up at 10:30 PM and there's only one other car in the lot, there's a good chance those people aren't wearing clothes. So like, be prepared for that. And understand that life would be better for all of us if we stigmatized and fetishized the human body less.
Mostly this is just because we camped at some springs over the weekend, were soaking in the buff late at night under the full moon, and then had some hunters roll in who decided to share a pool with us (even though plenty of others were available) and then were uncomfortable with my lack of underwear. Like bro, I'm not gonna get my swimming suit all wet and sulpher smelling if I can help it. You're not seeing anything new here, and what did you expect?

Bened_notnilA friend of mine was attacked by a grizzly the other day when he was hunting. He got 85 stitches and has been on an IV for three days.

safarisamHoly shit is that the guy that was attacked with his dad over near Smith Lake?
Bened_notnilYeah, just north of Smith lake. His dad's arm got pretty torn up and he is going into surgery for it tomorrow I think.
It's weird because last year when he visited home from college (around this time of year), he and his dad were hunting and got chased by a mountain lion.
DayManForgive me for a potentially stupid question from someone who doesn't hunt, but if you're getting attacked by an animal you're allowed to shoot it right? Regardless of tags and whatnot? I guess if you're bow hunting it doesnt help too much. I feel like after the mountain lion thing I'd keep a handgun on me but that's just me
Trumpkin2020Just killed a wasp in my house... It's November!!! What. The. Fuck.

snowmosexualI'm getting sick cause there mold in our shower. We've contacted the landlord and he sent someone to spray the mold about a month ago but homie only sprayed the very visible stuff on the ceiling. I'm pretty sure it's around the tub and in the cracks. I've got a bad mold allergy and I hate being sick while this whole corona thing is going on.

DayManFuuuuck this girl who went to my high school just died skiing a couloir near Bridger. I didn’t know her but I knew her sister, this is so sad. She just graduated high school. I can’t imagine what the family is going through right now, or the girl she was with who tried to save her. Everyone be careful out there and make good decisions this season, anything can happen, especially with more and more people getting into backcountry.

safarisamThe Great One is pretty common, people forget how dangerous it can be.
cydwhitThis. I remember the first time I skied it not really understanding what I was getting into because everyone I was with was so casual about it. Everybody was slamming beers on the way up, and I was like "why did I even bring a helmet for this?" and then you poke down into it and realize that although it's reasonably straightforward skiing, the consequences of a fall are really scary through most of the line.

DeebieSkeebieskinda reminds me of Highboy @ Alta on Frank haha, its fun to check out but yeah, kind of sketch when you're a zillion beers deep. Some dude was tripping balls/drunk one year and fell off a cliff, onto some rocks, and got really fucked up. Once did the Baldy hike on Snowbird-side one year super hammered on closing day w/ friends and skied down to Alta and that was super fun skiing Main chute in like july.
RparrSorry to drop such a heavy one on you guys, but I don't have hardly any people that I can talk to this about, and I also just wanted it to serve as a warning of sorts
My fiancé died 2 days ago in front of my very eyes. We believe she OD'ed on an opiate but aren't sure yet. She had been clean for years, but was struggling with pain after a very extensive surgery that she had a couple weeks ago. They didn't give her very many painkillers at all, and she ran out long before her pain stopped. They refused a refill on the script. I watched her lose consciousness and turn blue in the face as we were just sitting around watching a movie together. I did CPR and mouth to mouth immediately, administered narcan and had the paramedics there within 5 minutes. They rigged her up to all sorts of crazy machines, but she was dead by the time they got her to the hospital 10 minutes later. I am pretty sure she went and sought out black market opiates after being tired of the pain, and just didn't have the tolerance that she used to have back when she was a user.
Don't fucking do opiates guys. There are NO REAL OPIATES LEFT in the black market. They are ALL pills pressed with fentanyl, or worse. There are several dozen opiates that are even stronger than fentanyl. The reason for this is because in order to make traditional opiates like oxycodone or even heroin, you must derive things from the opium poppy. Those are quite difficult to get a hold of these days. Fentanyl and fentanyl derivatives are fully synthetic and much cheaper to make.
It still doesn't even seem real to me. Ski season cannot come fast enough now
little1337Just started watching lost, I’ve heard the ending kind of sucks but I’m in it for the content I guess. Any other show recommendations?
