RaarlGoing to a school on the quarter system? I was not a fan of it and won’t miss it. Some seen to like it though
Young_IPMCHey, I’m going to miss the 9th and 9th ride. If anyone’s there, send my regards to George.
Titus69How have they been recently? Havent been since like june and seems like my homies havent been doing it much but it's such a good time, great pregame for thursday night parties.
Young_IPMCThey’re still going strong, maybe 150 people last week. I expect it’ll get more popular as more college kids move back. I try to be there every week.
Titus69Word last summer there were definetly a few over 200 but once that kid got hit by the train cops became present and kids stopped going, just cant be a drunk idiot. If you see a yellow tandem yelling "no brakes" lookout cause I'll either be on it or near it, literally doesnt have brakes.
Young_IPMCI’d say the first one I went to in early July had 200 easy. I only saw a police presence when we went Weast Valley recently, but I’m pretty sure they’re generally all over there. I’ll keep my eyes open. I’m not too distinguishable, but I usually ride near the front and wear a gray single strap backpack.
BigPurpleSkiSuitDude they almost had to amputate your foot. You're a great skier and you'll adjust and be okay. I believe in you!

DeebieSkeebiesThanks fam :) It still feels like a fever dream, damn. What im really looking forward too? Stoned groomer cruising, its like therapy. Just perfectly linked carves and working on that form yo. Its all about the fundamentals. I gotta arc some high speed turns soon or im gonna die.
I still think about this black shadowy hooded figure I saw when I was like 12-13. Was up late playing some COD during the summer, went to grab some snacks, turned the corner into our kitchen and saw what looked like a nun-type hooded figure move down the hallway adjacent to me. Fucked me up good for a week lol.
safarisamMy ankle sprain is the worst my physical therapist has seen. Great.
Titus69Ahh these posts remind me of the ghost story thread that was hot a few years back. Still remember being at our 6th grade camp in northern NH, literally a family of like 6 were buried on the camp/side of ski resort and everyone saw the little cemetary like wtf. One girl said she encountered something that made her act all depressed and weird, and I remember waking up in the middle of the night to see what looked like a young child on one of those toy broomstick horses in my room, another kid had like a twitching fit in his sleep but mightve been normal. Definetly had a few weird encounters in my life I cant explain, kinda wanna experience more but also dont.
DeebieSkeebiesoh shit i think we just stumbled upon a goldmine for a horror movie, kinda like the poltergeist but at a summer camp. Lets crowdfund NS' first major motion picture.
That thread was spooky. I love hearing about this.

PeppermillRenoAt least you didn't run a half marathon with no training and get cucked.
I chugged it out but I cant walk.
I loathe running but now I can't wait to run theres nothing like being unable to do something that makes you want to do it even if you hated it to begin with.
Chubz.Let’s lap this winter yo!
DeebieSkeebiesawww yeah dawg. We'll get a huge NS Snowbird day going with erryone here, and anyone else is welcome to join along

RparrI've always found this website, and really skiing as a whole, an interesting phenomena in that there are no fat people 'round these parts. It doesn't really work with our lifestyle. It's incredible when you consider the obesity and overweight rates in America now
BigPurpleSkiSuitI'll bring the booze

Titus69Yeah I just remember sometime within a few weeks of that accident it was a smaller than usual crowd and I rode past a few kids pulled over by cops on motorcycles, likely for the open containers, didnt go for a while after that. Glad it's still going strong, I'd rather do 9th and drink a little til 11 then start heavy drinking at 9. Once I move back to the valley soon I'm definetly gonna try to go, plenty of college shaws and homies around, and it's not a crowded house party.
d00dI was there that sad day and didn't even know till the next morning because I was part of the group that had already passed the tracks. Sad stuff and the video is heart-wrenching :(
I went to a couple after what happened last summer and there were way fewer people. I thought it was going to get shut down honestly. I went once and there was like maybe 40 people first or the second week of the U starting which used to be peak times. Haven't been at all this year so I'm hyped to hear that it picked up to normal numbers again. The day that shit happened though that was the largest crowd I had ever seen. The news said 500, but it was probably a good 350+ and so gnarly. It would take everyone like around 15-20 minutes to get through an intersection. Funniest cluster fuck I've ever been a part of.
Cops being homies waving you on as you chug your beer with one hand, dodging fools with the other, and screaming belligerent nonsense at ignorant out of town tourists waiting in the intersection. Felt like a free pass to be an obliterated goon.
If you live in or around slc it's a must-go-to event for all ages. Good times.
Titus69Yeah the crowd was massive, thing is my friends and I went over the tracks probably 15 seconds before the train came through, I remember we looked back like "holy fuck that thing was moving" but there were so many people we didnt hear any noise of it. One of our homies stopped before it passed and I think he saw kids trying to revive the kid and shit, and yeah the onboard footage is fucked up. Definetly gotta go to a few in the next couple months, when the crowd is big enough to keep traffic from killing us it's awesome, my favorite memory was being downtown and some dumbass was to close to the opposing traffic lane and smashed into a guys sideview mirror and flipped over, gets up and yells "I'm good!!" But was smart enough to go back to the guy and probably exchange info, cause that thing blew tf up and everyone like usual reminds each other to stay out of the other lane.
DayManMy gf is getting her titties done and idk how I feel about it. I’m all about some nice new titties but I feel like I’m gonna miss the old ones.
DayManUpdate: I do not miss the old ones the new titties are badass like wow shoutout to that surgeon doing the lord’s work 10/10
