in the process of picking up a d3000 body for my girl from someone on here, shes just getting into photography and wants to move up from the ol' point and shoot. 

where goin away for a few weeks so she needs a lens or 2 realitivly fast

if you have a nikon kit lens...AF-S DX 18-55mm you out grew or something similar I'll take it off your hands, or anything better for a reasonably price.  Has to be in prime condition.

I know there's a wtb forum but m&a is hands down the best forum on here, and figured its a good place to start

I would be willing to sell you the kit lens from my D60 for 70 shipped. In fact if your transaction with the D3000 doesn't work out I'll sell you the body too. I would let that go for 400 shipped with the kit lens, original box/manuals, and a 2gb card. I also have a couple old full manual nikon mount lenses I could sell. I dont have them with me now but I know one is a Vivitar 28mm f2.8 prime, I think one is a nikkor 50mm prime, and one is a relatively long sigma telephoto zoom. If you happen to be interested I can get you some more details on them.

The two primes are a vivitar 28mm f2.8 and nikon series e 50mm f1.8. The telephoto is a sigma 70-210mm f4.5 macro.

Price for sigma and nikon would be 60+shipping, vivitar would be 45+shipping.

Ha why do people keep offering canon lenses? He said he swiped a Nikon camera.. and I have a 35mm 1.8G for sale, check my threads.

Pm'ed ill keep the d60 in the back of my mind too if things dont work out, super interested in the kit lens, if we can work something out might pick up the telephoto too once we talk

Try Craigslist. Kit lenses are super common and people are always selling them and that way you can buy locally.
