What to do with your skis over the Summer

I heard that you should put your dins down to 0, and apply a thick layer of wax to the bases, should you do these things? I use my older skis for summer seshs so these would just be in my room until November, so does turning your din to 0 and waxing a good idea and worth doing?

Well I don't have access to a hot wax, should I just rub some wax on them?

i turn my dins to zero on all my skis, i heard it helps keep the spring tight. i have heard that from multiple people on here as well as local ski techs. and a thick layer of wax is definitly good, if you dont do that dont put them base to base.

yeah I know about the wax, but I'm still trying to see if turning the din down all the way wont fuck anything up

i honestly don't do shit to my skis in summer, they just stand there in the corner, looking all sad :(

except my indoor skis who see quite some action since i have this near where i live :

soo sick man! I turn my dins down, i have heard that the spring lasts longer since it won't have tension on it the whole time. I also do a hot wax and leave the wax on. come fall i scrape the wax off.
