Schizo/Chronic help

Get some different bindings, everyone I know with them hates them and rarely uses them, oh and you'll have one of he heaviest park set ups.

No, "recommended" is like 6 cm back (at least on 181's), so you would be 3 cm back from center with the schizos adjusted as far up as possible. IMO, chronics are not a good ski to put schizos on, they are narrow, and they aren't going to be a one ski quiver.

Don't get schizo's they are a stupid concept IMO.

Most of the hate on Schizos is from people who haven't skied them. I put about 25 days on mine last year and they work fine for their intended purpose. No durability issues and I'm pretty hard on my gear. I was super skeptical at first when I saw them but they work.

 For all these haters that haven't ridden them, there are plenty that have and that have reason to hate on schizo bindings. Personally I can agree with everyone else when they say there absolute trash. This past season I had a pair that I rode on and they lasted me 3 days. Yes three days. And this happened not from impact. I was literally skiing a groomer and the "prong" ill call them that hold down the heelpiece snapped directly off the binding. All it takes is for one of these prongs to break for the entire binding to be bunk. For me it snapped, like I said for no reason and sent me flying forward uncontrollable out of both skis and down the mtn, only to have to hike back up and then walk all the way down with my broken griffon schizos. SO you can sense why I'm not a fan. Expensive bindings, only lasted 3 trips out and I can honestly say I will never buy or push( I work retail in ski shop) another marker binding. get some deadbolts, or mojos, or fks, or pivots or something thats just not marker, and if it is make sure its a pair of jesters...

I have schizos on my K2 extremes and I love them. Never had a problem. I suppose its just like regular bindings..some people will have horror stories. I think people who haven't ridden then are skeptical because its a very different binding setup but I think they're very solid.

might just be lazy but i hardly ever adjusted mine. same with others?.

would just get standard griffins in the future.

This happens on normal Griffons too. That piece on Griffons and Griffon Schizos is identical (likewise Jesters and Jester Schizos).

Its sad to think people still buy Marker bindings too... It's been a known problem for quite sometime and still they have yet to change the design. Maybe because idiots keep on buying them.... deadbolts/mojos, FKS, or Pivots > anything marker imo. Griffons are completely plastic.
