Has anyone ever built something like this... linear slider that runs on a pvc track with a tripod on top? advice would be great. i want it to be a summer project budget $150 (tripod not included)
This is basically the design that I used for mine. Just make sure you use new skateboard wheels. I tried using worn out inline wheels and it didn't work very well. I found skateboard wheels to work better. Just buy the cheapest ones.
or you could try making a slider that mounts to your tripod using something like this:
Ohhhhhhh, I thought you meant that you'd have to buy a tripod too because you didn't have one...
150 dollars would easily be enough to build a legitimate dolley.
