Serious question for those you who have depression or have gone through it. Did you ever feel guilty about being depressed? I'm reluctant to talk to anyone because I feel like shit about being such a mope. Its not as bad when I'm with people or at school, but when the day is done and I'm alone with my thoughts, I drag myself so far down.

this might sound stupid as hell but it works. ive gone through depressed phases and the only way you get out of them is to decide to be awesome instead. do new things, meet new people. take some risks. feel what its like to be alive again.

I deal with ADHD, and also have problems with an extremely difficult parent. I just feel like shit because I'm not a starving orphan or something.

still going through some post trauma depression, and what helps me the most is listening to music (pretty lights) constantly. also just find something that inspires you and focus on that for a while. be creative with everything you do so that you can create almost a mental block for the depression. and if your are artistic in any way or you just like to draw, spend lots of time on a big piece that you can be stoked on. cheers
