So I broke my collarbone this season, and feel robbed of most of my season. I was thinking about getting some rollerblades to train rails in the summer to make up for it....... but they are so gay.

I was wondering if anyone else has decided to suck it up and take skates for a spin?

How'd you get over the overwhelming gayness of them? Do you wear a fanny pack?

Well, If you think rollerblading is so gay than don't do it.
In my opinion its a pretty sick thing to do when you're not skiing, I started a pretty recently and its a lot of fun.

Rollerblading is really fun. The first step is to not take it to seriously. If your not over serious and your just out to have fun, then you will have a real good time.

i picked up blading this year, its fun to do ski tricks and stuff but after a while you wanna learn actually grinds (soul grind exct) and its mad hard! but so much fun! and its super fun to do ski tricks i dont really care if people think its gay

i like it, its fun and feels like skiing so its sick

but its hard...it really hurts...id get wrist grauds

haha i remember deciding not to get into inline skating for this very reason when i was so young...

i skateboard, and have been really into since i was a little kid.. and everybody hates on aggressive inline and always has, but its stupid. a good friend of mine rollerblades and i go out to skate with him all the time.. do that shit...

just, be good at it.. because when people suck at rollerblading... thats pretty gay haha

same here. also skateboarding and longboarding compliment each other so well. once your sick of doing tricks on the skateboard just hop on the longboard and cruise hills it's the best.

Yea but rollerblading isn't cool to start with. Skateboarding is a pretty accepted sport. I think it's sick when people are good at rollerblading but when they first start out it's meh

yeah but it's the same fo skateboarding. mall rats who can barely ollie are annoying as fuck in parks, and they lok dumb and usually degenerate, like mall rats do.

and the impractical bit got me, or transportation yeah. but for sprot, it'd like putting on cleats, or maybe even like, oh, I don't know...SKI BOOTS?

Right on dude, I totally only try and go for the accepted "cool" sports.

First time I ever went to a skate park, no shit, I was on rollerskates hahaha. What a fuckin noob I was. That was like 88 or 89 though haha.

It is true though that if you've got some skill and are getting some good air most dudes in a skate park will respect ya no matter what's under your feet.
