a flair is basically a backflip 180 in the pipe, most basic flip trick in the pipe really. some people will tell you it's a 90 to side flip to 90 but these people are not only splitting hairs, they are wrong. anyway, a double flair is the "simplest" double flip in the pipe.. it's like a double backflip with a 180 (to land forwards)

screamin seaman is an old school trick where you put one leg over your other leg, ski and all, then unhook and put it back before you land so you don't rip your legs in half. sketchy trick haha

this isnt a very good one but it's the best one i could find quickly that gives a good view of it

but on this video he hasn't put his leg on the other one! Also in my video what happened is that the rider touched "or seized, I dont know" the side of the left ski by his right hand (at leat that 's what I have seen) but on ur video he like distanced his legs. So I got confused.

Second, Can we say that "double flaire" is the opposite of "double cork"?

Rodeo
A rodeo is not an off axis spin like a cork, d-spin or bio. It is a spin with a FULL inversion, aka, the riders feet at some point in the spin go directly OVER his or her head. See Mark Abma in Yearbook for a very sick and slowed down Rodeo 7. Also, Mike Wilson rules at these, see Ready, Fire, Aim for some huge ones.

Flatspin
Flatspins are very close to rodeos. They are thrown almost the exact same, but the difference is that in a flatspin, the rider never gets completely inverted. Heres a way to think about it: A line extending through you from your head to your toes when you stand up. In a rodeo, this line ends up completely inverted at some point (although your feet can be somewhere else, like leaned back in a tail or a mute or something) while in a flatspin, this line never reaches true vertical. The line between what is a rodeo and a flatspin is understandably very blurry, especially when one considers tweaked grabs and such.

A Misty is the counterpart of the Rodeo. It is a spin with a front flip. Note in these how you can see the skis go OVER the persons head and wrap around.

Underflips
An underflip can easily be mistaken for a rodeo or a misty. It’s an odd rotation: a 90 degree turn off the lip, followed by a lincoln loop up the hill (head faces jump followed by feet) to another 90, landing backwards. See niklas karlstrom in teddybear crisis up the step-up, or in X off of a small snowbank. Vincent Dorion also does these well.

Baisically the opposite of an underflip, commonly mistaken for a misty 5. 90, lincoln loop downhill (feet face jump followed by head) to another 90, landing backwards. see mike wilson in ready, fire, aim or in superpark 2. These do look almost exactly like misty’s. Searching on NS, I could only find one video of an overflip, and it wasn’t that great of an example. We need your video!

Jon Olsson, Sweedish wonderboy, pulled off this trick at the Jon Olsson Invitational this year (2006), blowing the other simple spins out of the water. This will no doubt make this guide a whole lot longer.

flat = flatspin 540, the basic rotation of the trick. alley oop just means he spun a direction that makes it harder to get around and tougher to land, not related to flat spin at all.

ally oop is spinning up the pipe as opposed to down it in the direction your momentum is taking you
so if you spin left on the left wall of a pipe it would be ally oop but on the right wall it'd be normal

Shifty is the term for twisting your upper body in one direction and swinging your skis in the other. In moguls, its often called a twister, thats what I grew up calling them. In most freestyle tricks, look for a point in the trick where the skis stop moving. Wallisch throws them at the end of many of the tricks he does, they look absolutely sick.

A flare (alternative spelling = flair) is the simplest inversion in a halfpipe. Starting out going forwards and going up (in this case) right wall, you drop your left shoulder and do a barrel roll. A double flare (aka Whiskey Flip) is two inversions.

A double cork is easiest to understand off a simple kicker before you get into the halfpipe, where tricks are a little weird (for instance, a 900 off a kicker will make you land backwards, not true for a 9 in the pipe). Instead of a simple cork, where the skier will get off axis during the spin and then return to level, a double cork is the skier going off axis once, returning to level, then going off axis again, then landing level. Its different than a double rodeo or double misty in that in those tricks, the rider goes completely inverted - corks are only slightly off axis, and generally, the riders feet will not ever be higher than their head.

Let me explain screamin seaman again. Imagine putting one leg over the other so that your right foot is where your left foot should be, and your left foot is where your right foot should be. Then you unhook them (hard because of the length of skis) to bring their feet back to normal again before they land

I don’t know what video you are referring to here when you say “at least that’s what I have seen” but if you mean you watched a video where someone did a screamin seaman AND a mute grab, then it’s both. Theyre independent tricks that can be put together

No. a double flair should be thought of as two flips with a 180. A double cork is two corks in a row in one air. See the links that the guy posted up there^^^^^ to see what a cork looks like. Most popular double corks are double cork 10 (cork 7 into cork 3 in one air) and double cork 12s (cork 7 to cork 5 in one air)

TAIL GRAB is when you grab the tail of your ski. SHIFTY is when you twist your skis one way or the other then bring them back. It’s old school name would be a twister. Tail grabs and shifties are different tricks that can be done together sometimes, as in a cork 7 tail [grab] shifty

Shifties can be added into lots of other tricks. Imagine I’m a badass PRO and I’m doing a leftside 7 (720) and right near the end of the rotation, I twist my skis to the reverse direction (right), then back to normal before I land just to show how in control of the rotation I am

RODEO is a type of rotation, for example a rodeo 5. See the trick links that dude posted up there for videos of tricks like that

FLAT, short for flatspin, 540 is a trick (in the pipe) where you spin your 540 on a rotation that is parallel to the edge of the pipe. So an alley oop flat 540 japan shifty would be identical to the second trick in this video, while adding a japan grab. the first trick in this video is a double flair, by the way

so by this definition is sammy c's switch triple rodeo 12 really a switch triple flat 12? or because it's switch automatically make it a rodeo? cause to me it doesn't look like he goes completely feet over his head inverted. and i've seen plenty of videos where the trick is deemed a flatspin, not a rodeo, and they got more inverted than sammy did.

no i know, i should have phrased that better... in many cases flatspin vs rodeo is a big case of splitting hairs in my opinion. others will certainly disagree but that's just how it goes. also, switch flatspins dont really happen much..
