pros and helmets

what pros ski with helmets and what pros dont?





I promoted my CVS and Stop and Shop card from the inside slits to the outside ones...my Blockbuster and gym ID got pissed off, but I told them, sorry guys, laminated plastics just can't cut it in the big leagues

the only pros i've seen wear a helmet often are big mountain skiers, mostly all of them, and Dumont, Olenick, Hibbert

Dumont and Peter are the only two that I know of. and they are both really tickleishly good and stylie. so start wearing one and you will be cool too!

hibbert wears one. kellar wears one. pauls wears one. its alot better than concussions. and if you go on to post secondary education, you may want to protect your brain.

yeah if your gonna wear a helmet get the RED hifi helmet. It is hands down the lightest helmet ever and it doesnt even feel like you are wearing one. As of pros, olenik, dumont, and hibbert, I think that tim d. wears a helmet but hes not pro, super good just not considered pro i dont think. i wear one but obviously im not pro either..

personaly, I think the HI-Fi is cool and lite, but so godamn uncomfortable! RED helmets feel like I'm wearing a rock around my head. The Giro 9.nine is by far the most comfortabel helmet I have ever tried

yeah for sure the red hifi is not the most confy of helmelts withought something under it. I have to wear a beanie or a army snow cap (the one with the small bill and ear flaps to make it fit right. With something under it is really really confy.

I won't go through my big story, I'm sure many of you have heard it....but a good friend of mind passed away a few seasons back due to massive head injuries skiing. Wear your fucking helmets. The small bit of whatever you think you lose by wearing a helmet cannot compare to the pain you can cause yourself, and your family.

the helmet is essential, so many times has the helmet saved me on rails when i slipp out. I'd probably have my head split in half had it not been my helmet

agreed, definitely wear a helmet, I never ski without one because I've had 6 concussions but even if you haven't had any you're crazy if you don't wear one. Another good idea is a mouthguard, a lot of concussions are caused by your jaws slamming together really hard, I've had concussions while wearing a helmet where I overshot and cranked my chin on my knees that I probably wouldn't have gotten if I was wearing a mouthguard.

when you are in the parks full face helments kinda looks like you could be a racer. but if you are doing skier cross then they are good to wear. the only competition that you do not need a helment is the x games where they are optional

i got that green mt-1 for sick powder days where im huckin shit off the top of the mountain and for comps. its super warm and way lightwieght. i use it for mountain biking too. i would never wear it while sessioning the park tho. on powder days it keeps my head warm and dry and i even forget i have it on
