Drivers must yield to pedestrians who are standing on the sidewalk. (????)

One may not test their physical endurance while driving a car on a highway. (Applies to road head?)

Drivers may not pump their own gas. (RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGE)

Not a law per se, but here in Finland, if someone attacks you or comes into your house with the intention of robbing/beating/killing you, it's better to somehow try to run away than to retaliate at all.

Meaning, we do not have a very open self-defense law. Defend yourself just a bit too roughly and you gotta pay the assailant for damages + probably end up on parole or possible even doing some time.

In Florida, any form of sexual contact other than missionary position is a misdomeanor. (This is still a law. There have been several cases of people being brought up on these charges in the past 5 years alone. If the police enter a home with a warrent for some other crime and catch the 'culprits' in action, they can, and are, brought up on those charges.)

This isn't a law, just stupid cops: me and 2 of friends were walking on the sidewalk, and one of my friends was walking like a foot on this houses grass and 2 minutes later, 3 cops come flying up, one with a tazer out, telling us to stop where we are and don't say anything. bullshit.

I live in Australia and last year hitchhiking was made illegal. Which is fucked. Its also considered drunk driving if your riding a bike under the influence. Also fucked. The whole government is pretty fucked in the head.

not ridiculous, but funny when you're living on both the east and west coast.

in vermont, and maybe some other new england states? it's ILLEGAL to leave your chairlift bar up. out west, that's unheard of. so I ski a whole season at whistler not having to close the bar once, then I head back to vermont for christmas break hop on the lift, forget to put my bar down and all the employees just started bitching at me so hard to lower the bar haha. they probably thought I was tryin to be some muhfuggin bad ass

The Finnish Composers' Copyright Society is so fucking fucked fuckedy-fuckybrain. At the turn of 2011, the prices for memory storage (USB sticks, hard drives) almost tripled in some cases. WHY, you ask? Because it's possible to store illegally downloaded content (songs) to these drives.

No, most of these "laws" are quite authentic as of what I've heard, just quite old and irrelevant to this day (as in most are obsolete).

No source, but I did read these same laws years ago, and that site stated that these laws were thrown together after real court cases or occurences (i.e. "You can't have a donkey and an elephant on the street at the same time") and then just threw "It's gotta be illegal" on there and it was made state mandate.

i always joke around and say there are no laws where i live, but like, its kinda true. im in upstate new york in the middle of fuckall NOWHERE. like i dont have neighbors and ive never seen a police officer near my house before, besides some DEC guys occasionally.

This is off topic, but once I was getting gas at a gas station in NJ, and while my tank was being filled I was behind a dude in a red Ferrari F430. So I was just chillin, and then I see the guys arm stick out the window to call over the attendant (the dude had what I'm pretty sure was a rolex on, some very sick, very expensive looking silver watch), and he just handed the attendant a $100 bill and drove off. Straight baller status.
