Powder ski advice

What's up guys, I'm in the market for some powder skis, I'm 6'3" 200, advanced and will be living in boulder next year.  I'm currently from massachusetts so I havnt had much experience on powder skis.  My biggest question was if I should get a ski with tradditional or reverse camber and if i should go with a longer ski or a 185 like i've been skiing on currently.  Also, I'm not sure if I should go super fat or go with more of an all mountain ski.  I do plan on buying another pair of park skis so these will just be for powder/backcountry.......help me out!

if they are just for backcountry/pow you have to ask yourself a few questions. will you be doing any skinning, mostly just gate access, or mostly just lapping chair access pow. if you're going to be skinning you want to keep in mind weight. if not, or if you just don't give a fuck, go with a freestyle oriented pow ski like the hellbents, newlifes, or something of that nature. if you are going to be skinning, a lighter ski like the jj's with a touring setup might be what you want. if you're into touring but don't ever plan on skiing switch in the pow look into something from black diamond, they have that sort of thing on lock.

basically what i'm saying is you need to describe what the ski needs to be suited for a lot better.

I would go for an all mountain powder ski and not a specific powder only ski for versatility. Look for camber under foot, rocker in the tip and tails, and I like early taper too! For example the K2 Hellbent is great in powder but not that good in crud compared to skis such as the Armada JJ, K2 Obsethed, ON3P Caylor, Atomic Bent Chetler, etc, which all do great in powder, crud, and even on the hardpack.

Sparknotes: Go for a versatile ski between 105-120 underfoot that will perform great in powder, crud, and hardpack.

at your size you should definitely look for something stiffer just so you have a stable platform to ride on. Anything flimsy and shitty is out of the picture, so look for something long and stiff. First thing that popped into my head was 191 on3p caylor, but the longest moment bibby size would probably work for a man of your size as well.

Find something long and stiff. You'll love it (thats what she said)
