For park and all around skiing: 2011 Alpha 1 w/ 2011 Griffons
For pipe: 2012 Rossi Scratch w/ 2012 FKS 140
For pow/crud: 2011 or 2012 (not sure) Bluehouse Maestro (Panda) with px12 demos.
For I don't even know why I have these anymore: 2009 Dumonts with STH 12's. These have a blown-out edge and kinda snapped when water got in the core from water ramping--so now the tail of one ski looks like some good ol' surface 3 stage haha.

How does the overall flex compare between your 185 JJ's and the 183 TST's? I have yet to actually fondle any of the TST's and was curious if they are in fact stiffer in any way than the JJ's. I believe Armada's site claims they have the same flex pattern as the JJ's but would like to hear some actual experience.

the flex really is about the same. the TST feels like it skis stiffer though because of the traditional tail. it's just got that extra bit of drive in it that i've come to love. its definitely not as stiff (by hand flex) as i expected, but can absolutely rip when you lay it on edge.

if i had to pick one i'd choose the TST... no doubt about it. thus far, it's my favorite ski i've ever been on. the only doubt i have is whether i could've gone with the 191 instead of the 183. i'm not afraid to be critical of a ski (i absolutely detest the 4frnt's CRJ), but armada really hit the nail on the head with the TST.

Thanks for the info man!

I really am intrigued by the TST and have heard nothing but good things about the ski. I just found the 185 JJ's to be a bit soft for my liking and would prefer to not have chattering tips when flying over crud. I need to find some to get my hands on around here. Any thoughts on how the TST's handle shitty snow in comparison to how "hooky" the JJ's could be at times?

well the TST still has a fairly large shovel, so it's still gonna be "hooky." that being said, they cut through crud very nicely. there's very little deflection, as you might have in the JJ. i'd attribute that to the JJ's overall fatness more than just the tip's fatness. the TST is really a great resort ski in that it can handle the tracked-out pow, icy faces, and just variable conditions in general. the JJ is definitely more pow-specific and doesn't perform quite as well outside of its main purpose.

Pretty much what I imagined given the shape, dimensions, and my personal experiences with JJ's. I'll have to find some 192's try out or demo for a day. Thanks again for the info!

I actually think the mark on the 191 wrens is something like -10. Rowen prbably know the correct point of the line.

No point in mounting directional big mountain charger skis forward, it's not like I'm gonna be skiing switch on the wrens :P
