shits terrible!. i landed and the crotch tore apart and the zipper is like hanging free not attached to anything. and they are not responded to my emails about. please do yourself a favor my fellow NS and dont waste your precious money on this. oh and i forgot the waterproofing sucks...
Me. But seriously give the emails some time. (I didn't read the whole thread so maybe you did, but if not then just wait a little longer, you will live.)
if I were saga i'd make kids like you send their report cards in with their warranty claims, it'd help separate out the real morons who mistreat their gear, break it and then blame the company from everyone else
I don't know why you are bitching about the waterproofing, I've stayed dry all year with it. Only a couple rail stains but that is fully my fault. Saga is some decent quality stuff.
So many people send saga with complaints like this, how do you expect them to answer so many emails...? anyways they answer it just takes a little time.
I've owned 2 suits from them. The 2009/2010 stuff was ok. The 2010/2011 was the absolute shit. The pants are my favorite I have ever owned. I found the waterproofing to be top notch, but I ski in Colorado, so it's pretty dry snow. I have had no problems with durability. I think they have their shit dialed. My only complaint is that their Large jacket is way bigger than the Medium, and I'd like something in between, but that might just be me. Saga is a good company.
And why won't you just give them some time to respond instead of whining on NS? If it's been more than a week, maybe then you have a gripe. Your thread is not constructive, it's just a rant.
Meh, while I don't think Saga is shitty by any means, I don't think it's the greatest stuff out there either. I bought into the hype and got a Saga suit this year, and while it worked fine all season, it just wasn't on the same level as some older North Face, Oakley, or even Burton outerwear that I had. The material just felt very thin and flimsy to me. The jacket definitely held up better than the pants/was more waterproof though. After a long day of skiing, my ass was totally soaked through just from sitting on the snowy chairlift many times. The pants would also get little tiny rips in them in odd places like the back of my leg and my knee, like a half cm, which I've never had happen with any other pants I've owned. No idea where they came from, but at the end of the day I took off my pants a few times and was like wtf? As for the jacket, it looked sick, and kept me warm and dry, but the waterproofing definitely wore off in some places, especially around the cuffs and the bottom. I'll use my Saga until it's completely dead, so probably another 1-2 seasons, but then I'll probably go back to something like Orage, Oakley, or North Face. If this is a "major step up" from previous years' outerwear, I don't even want to know what it used to be like.
Oakley is hit or miss, and for $400 for a suit SAGA. gets better each year, it is the best for the price. But LDC is coming up quick and I will prob be rocking LDC next year.
For what Saga costs it's pretty damn good buying. At that pricepoint you can't expect the bees knees in quality control so perhaps you just got a shi!t pair. You can get a Saga suit for the price of an Orage/Spider/Descente/whatever jacket, that should tell you something...
Bump saga dose suck their stitching sucks my pocket riped off easily, waterproofing is terrible, and they dont respond to email fast my shit got back orderd and they never responded my emails. took and extra month for my shit to come.
