Ive been helping out RMU since their inception pretty much. So I guess you could call me biased but I honestly really like the skis. Ive skied pretty much everything under the sun in comparison too.
Ive skied the Diams since the first pair (the first pair is actually in my garage right now), and they're a great park/on piste ski. They have a real snappy feel to them and are ridiculously fun carving skis on groomers. Edges are super thick and soft. Youll crack them if you hit rails a lot, but Ive never lost any part of edging, some of my diams have 100+ days on them. Ive never heard of a pair delaming either.
Pros: Super snappy, lightweight, durable park ski. Medium flex.
Cons: Center mounted, so not that great off piste.
I helped design and love the Professors. They're just a blast in anything. The rocker makes them a great deep pow ski, and stiffness helps a ton in chop. Overall, just a really fun and super versatile off piste ski for anything. Hell, Ive skied some park with them too. They have a huge turning radius so shredding groomers on them is a little awkward to get used to...but why would you shred groomers on a 120mm underfoot rockered pow ski anyways?
Pros: Great ski for everything off piste, from big mtn lines to deep powder days, to BC jumps, they do it all! Medium/stiff flex.
Cons: Big ski for smaller guys, awkward on groomers
I havent tried the Apostle yet, but have heard nothing but great praise for them. Ill have a pair next winter and theyll be my touring/big mtn ski. They remind me a lot of the armada JJs, but skinnier width (more versatile for those 0-12 inch days).
Let me know if you have any other questions, great skis and the company is really starting to pick up some steam. Over the next year or so you'll definitely hear more about RMU.
