Getting Over the Fear

Does anyone else get scared when they are trying something new?
I need some help because I know Im capable of doing some of the harder stuff.. But instead of doing it I just pussy out and don't do it because Im scared.
So what do you do to get over that?

Since you think you can do it, then you most likely can!
So just do it and you fill feel very relieved and/or satisfied that you tried it. You will probobly land on your feet.

if you know you can do it then the worst that can happen is you mess up a bit and get some shinbang or a bruise. once you realize that you just have to have the mindset of, "ah screw it, im goin for it"

Most of the time, on a new trick, getting hurt comes from not committing 100%. For example, if you initiated the spin for a backflip, and then freak out in the air and don't keep looking, you're going to land on your head. If you commit 100% to the spin, and keep looking til you come around, you'll land on your feet or worst case senario, over rotate a bit and land on your butt. Just nut up and huck it!

Don't think about it. Just go and do it. Follow people who can do it. HAVE FUN! I used to have the same problem until I just stopped trying to push myself to do shit and started having fun. I wasn't ready. And then it all started coming super easy. Stressing yourself out makes it worse.

One thing that works for me and that others have mentioned on the forum is thinking about a stick of butter.
Or any inanimate object for that matter. The idea is that it gets your mind of the crazy sw triple cork 1440 you're about to stomp and helps you to rely on intuition rather then your thoughts.
Just a thought.

Honestly just nut up and huck it. All I do is say to myself "alright ill do it" and the inrun and just throw what every you are going to try. After you throw it once then you can start thinking about how you are going to do it.
