Replying to So my summer setup doesn't work anymore...Please Help

Da_CONK:
Hey guys long story short NJ doesn't have any snow so I want to get back to hitting my setup but I haven't been able to do to speed issues. I literally barely make it to the lip before I come to a complete stop, there is no way in hell I can even reach the rail.

This has me confused because last summer it was REALLY fast. I have new skis this year (166 Abangs) and last summer I was using shitty rental ski (141 ish). I'm thinking the size and width difference on the Abangs is what is causing the problem.
Turf might be the issue but it isn't too worn out.

Also I had someone watch when I hit the setup and they said my skis made a "C" (Abangs super flex) in the transition so I'm almost positive that's what's killing all my speed. This would make sense because I designed the transition based on my old 141 skis so it might be way to short.

If it helps I can take a picture of the transition from the side.

So what are some things I can do to fix this? I really don't feel like sawing it apart to make the transition smoother but if that's what it takes I'll do it.

-Construction Fencing
-Remaking the transition
-New Turf (Turf I have now isn't to worn, one summer of use)
-???

If I cover the inrun with construction fencing will that give me enough speed to blow through the transition and finish a 20' rail or will my speed still be shot as soon as I hit the transition?

Thanks for any suggestions
