ok I've seen a lot of posts about this, could someone that knows what's up straighten this out:

I've heard of 'Center mounting' your skis, mounting at 'core center', the manufacturers reccomendation, and then some number system with +3, +4, etc.

Is there a difference between center mounting and 'core center'? How exactly does the numbering system work, and is K2 different from other ski companies about their mounting points?

Core center (i think) is exclusive to K2 skis, and it is what they deem the ideal mounting point for the ski when used on what they are intended for. (ie seth pistols pow, PE all mountain, and Fujative park)

every ski company is different
K2 has the only system that i know of that ahs the +7.5 is the center of there ski.

I myself would just my skis mounted at the recommmend spot, unless they were k2's.
most companies alreay like armada and line have a more forward mounting point then tradtional skis.
