hello ns =. i have been trying 270s on for about a week now and i am getting the spin around fine but every time i land on the box i am landing reeally far over on the right side on sliding off smacking my face arms legs ect. i have tried starting my spin farther left on the lip but the same thing happens. looking for some advice +K

which way are you spinning? right I am guessing. Sounds like maybe you could benefit from going faster and starting your spin AFTER popping, not while still on the lip.

Yes, he probably is going off axis a bit as well, causing him to edge out.

2s on are easy if you have a lip
just pop and spin
if you can do a 2 without moving you should be able to 2 on
wide stance is key

wide stance for sure, i spin on left and i find that if i push a little harder on the lip with my right ski inside edge and spin with my right hand and pull with my left hand that it comes around no problem, make sure you've popped before you actually rotate.

Instead of starting further left on the kicker, turn VERY slightly to the left just before you get to the box, so you're going off at a slight angle. This should help counter the movement to the right, or at least it did for me. Other than that, just what others have said, wide stance, don't rotate until you're off the lip. Good luck man

when you guys say pop before you spin, what exactly do you mean? do you mean pop straight up then just rotate the 270? is it hard to do it with no purchase on the snow? i can't quite get it right in my head...how you would get the spin around...

Exactly, pop then spin. Use your head and arms and it'll get you around. Doing it right will also keep you more stable in the air. I like looking right where I'm going to land and then transition to looking at the end of the rail, but that's just me.

yeah what they said, also make sure you bring your head around quicker than your body so that you can spot the rest of the box, should also help you stay on

YES! today i was trying all of the things i have been told and still couldnt get it. but adding the head thing makes total sense! i am going to add that in next weekend. thanks for all the help guys i really appreciate it. im glad no one it hating because i am a n00b

There should be NS clinic days for this type of shit.  Like informally, a bunch of NSers at a mountain publish on the forum that they'll be hanging out in the park helping other NSers.  That would be banger, and would help a lot more than just text.
