On top of that you have to decide what the purpose of the ski is, and what your weight is.
For a powder ski you want to go longer than your height as a rule of thumb. Also, the heavier you are the longer a ski. The more you charge at high speed and carve big line turns the longer ski you need.
Soft vs Stiff skis make a difference too. As does the stiffness of your boots. Ideally we'd all have different set ups for each day and what we'll be doing.
I agree with abovementioned advice though, as a 188cm skiier you should look at the 185 length park skis as a minimum. If you're a more solid bloke, 180lbs+, then maybe look at the allmountain park skis, like the Volkl Bridge which comes in a 187 and is a bit more robust.
