To be honest I think Bachelor. I went to timb last year mid feb and the park set up was sketchy and poorly kept. The only time bach doesn't have their parks set up is after a major dump. I don't know much about camping and places to stay cause i still live with my parents, but i'm still a tightwad cause gears expensive. bend's a city 30 mins away, so you could find a hotel for some cheep prices and there's plenty of camping right outside the city limits. They offer a shuttle from bend a minute away from rays and safeway, its a little expensive $7 1 way, $10 round trip, $65 14 pass, and if your go enough 175 for season buss pass.
Also during may you have no idea what the weather and temps will be like, bach has a 3,400 timp 3,700. Bachelor's terrain wraps all the way around while timb is just a little patch of the hill. Also Bach has one of the easiest lift set ups i've been to. Its simple and easy to learn, and you can also make it all the way around the mountain on 2 lifts. And i've been to Schwietzer in Idaho, Timberline, and Mammoth. The Timberline lifts are sort of a pain to get around on to get to the lodge and over to the park and what not. But ya bachelors prices are a little higher, but in my opinion i feel they offer a little more.
I hope this helps, i tried to give you as many facts as i could without bias. Oh and Timb has night skiing too something bachelor needs, but it was horrible no coverage of any parks and the lighting set up was very sketchy and spotty, so I wouldn't make it something to base your trip off of.
have a good trip man!
I wouldn't disagree with a lot of your comments, but I do have to say that you must have been at Timberline on an off day if you think the Parks are "skechy and poorly kept." I think for the most part we keep our stuff looking and ridiing really well. I would hate for people to not ride T-lines parks becuase they heard they were not kept up well and skechy... is that really true? I'd like to know. Anyone else feel that way? Be honest

We will have about this till mid may....what will bach have? I havent been there in a while so wouldnt know....
pretty much sums it up.
but then again.. not every one from bend is a matte sipping yuppie and not every one from portland is an stinky hipster. id say hipsters are the small part of portland but get the most exposure. hipsters are so mainstream.
