New schoolers were do you get your fabric and how much does it ussually cost for one hoodie

My sweatshirt fabric cost $20/yrd, same with ribbing.

So...

2.5 - 3 yrds. needed of sweatshirt material (maybe more needed if you're clumsy or making a SUPER tall one. Always good to have extra), $50-$60 before taxes.

0.5 yrds. ribbing, $10.

If you're adding a zipper, approx. $10.
If you're purchasing a pattern, $10.

TOTAL: $80. As much as any Jiberish sweater.

I should add that for me at least fabric is $20/yrd, but I was lucky one time and got it half off.

wow where do some of you people shop? i pay about 10-15$ a metre for the sweatshirt fabric, and it's about 15-20$ for ribbing at fabricville. 30$?40$? zippers are about 3$. fabiricville has a lot of sales too, like buy two metres get one free...but anywho. they don't sell online. we also have a garment district with a street that sells nothing but fabric, i got hoodie fabric there for 5$ a metre.

fabricland the west coast store to your Fabricville. No such fabric district exists in Winnipeg so discounts are not a-plenty..

Maybe Fabricland has lots of sales; I don't know. it's not usually on sale when I'm buying...

yeah. that can be annoying. im finding fabricville is have a ton of sales lately. howevs, i guess i dont sew much cause the cost is a bit much. i mean it's fun, but 40$ a project can become much.

I can make a 34 inch crewneck with fabric to spare for less than $30 by buying at Joann's. I wouldn't even make my own stuff if it cost $80 for fabric.

Being a member of the local store I often buy a meter for like $8.. Hoodies have never cost me more than $30
