If you cross the springs however, you'll see that they will get stretched and quickly get worn out - rendering your trampoline completely spongy and boring. This applies to all "home-trampolines" but the cheaper ones will get worn out much faster than a good one.
Normally the springs attach in a manner similar to this I I I I I I when you cross them, you are making Xs with the springs. One over another, like X X X X X
To who ever said they stretch out your springs, they are right. Over time the springs will wear faster. For the effect you get, its worth it. Plus you can always buy new springs for about .25-.50 cents a piece.
