I'm a 'computer programmer' but the main bulk of my job is being paid to gain access to other peoples systems and servers, so they can then increase there protection from my analysis. So I know what I am talking about. IE is shit, period. The most unsecure browser. But the most overrated web browser is Google Chrome. Yes, some people say it is fastest but that's all it really has going for it.
I use chrome and love it. I had to switch from safari when it stopped working one day. IMO i feel like chrome is faster but i do miss some of the little things of safari
i like chrome because it obviously works well with everything google makes, and google is going to take over the world, so im just getting a head start. my prediction for the next big google feature: Google Army! any country can rent their independent army which will have by far the best soldiers, weapons, and technology, making them far superior to any nations military.
Firefox crashed constantly on my computer for soem reason, I reinstalled it several times. Chrome is pretty cool. But if anybody used netscape back in the day, that was awful. Is it still around?
So you're more of a pentester than anything. That's cool since I'm going to school for that. How do you like doing that as a job?
And on topic, IE and Safari both blow chunks in my opinion. And before someone says I must've used Safari on Windows, I have used it on a Mac and don't like it there either.
Opera is my favourite (and I don't understand some of the hate it's getting) but depending on my mood I'll use Firefox or Chrome as well, just for shits and giggles.
I'm a web developer, I use PHP & Javascript to develop web applications. When I build something, basically I have to do it two ways, one so that it works in IE, and one so it works in every other browser. IE seems to be the only one that straight up ignores the W3C
It's great, I get to do something I love and get paid for it so i can't complain. If you like computers and are good with code and stuff like that. It's an enjoyable job.
