Iron Horse Downhill Bike

Is the Iron Horse Yakuza Ojiki a good bike for someone looking to get into downhill/freeride mountain biking? I now live in Vancouver so I would like to take advantage of the north shore and whistler, however I dont have a large budget.

Probably a pretty decent bike to start off with if you are getting it second hand. I wouldn't buy one from a shop considering Iron Horse went bankrupt a year ago so there is little chance of a warranty etc.

If you can get a second hand Specialized Big Hit then that would probably be a little better.

Iron horse are generally sick bikes only thing is they dont exist anymore... if you take care of your bike and service when needed it should last longer than needed if youre the type of person who fucks their stuff up go for something which has a warranty. As someone else said why not check pinkbike for other options and opinions? Theres loadssssss

The IH is a good beginner bike, but definitely look on the pinkbike classifieds, especially because you live in BC where there are oodles of riders. I've gotten some AMAZING deals on PB.

try this site!! they have soo many bikes factory direct for cheap, they may not be the most popular brands but check them out, i bought a road bike from them and it was 500$ and very esily comparable to a 1000$ trek!

the bikes come dis assembled, but can be put togather with just a little bike experience! this websiet has the more high preformance bikes tward the bottom of the page. i highly recommend you check this out, the bikes are super legit too!

haha, I made a thread there and got no responses. Its sort of funny how newschoolers.com can give me more responses on touring equipment than tgr, and can help me out more with bikes than pinkbike.
