If it happens alot, it ok to go to the doctor telling him. Sometimes they come up with some good reasons why. A taking a sleeping pill is not a bad thing as long as the doctor says it's ok.
Key is ofcourse getting out of bed in the morning. If you get up at 11 or 12am, it's pretty normal not to be able to fall a sleep before 5am.
Try to force yourself up at like 8 or 9am after having gone to sleep at 5am you'll be sleeping like a baby by midnight :-)
I had the same problem a couple of weeks ago. But now Im 'clean'.

You could try to stay up until 9pm or so now. That'll give you a good nights sleep and you'll be up at 8.
Driving in your state is pretty dangerous though.

yeah, it takes me an hour sometimes 2 to fall asleep. About a week ago, i didn't get to sleep until about 1, and then I woke up at 4am and couldn't sleep. I watched aspen extreme.

it always takes me at east an hour to fal asleep unless I drink or take NyQuil but I don't usually do that so I go to bed around 11 fal asleep between 12 and 2 then during the school year get up at 5:45-6:30 depending on the day and yea... it sucks... during the summer I sleep till 8 or 9... it's nice... I've gotten a ful nights rest for ike 5 or 6 days in a row... man... too much ENERGY!!!!!!! WHOOOO!!!!!!

One of my friends had brain surgery done this year. (Great subject for jokes by the way). She slept for a week none stop after the operation. Pretty cool... Pretty scary seeing the scar over her head though.
Now she's fine again.

i drink a bit of nyquil when i cant get to sleep...that shits the best...when i have a cold it usually takes me like 3 hours to get to sleep but with nyquil it takes like 5 min
