no. it makes it funnier.... and i heckle all the gapers. and i call out all the chairlift hecklers. aka wait for em at the top of the park (my home mtn has its own park lift) so when they come down. i watch em go. then show em up and tell em to fuck themselves. its quite funny

Ski better, or don't ski under the lift if you're so sensitive. Heckling is part of what makes skiing great.

i dont mind it, but i see a lot of kids trying to progress and get better, and they are not gonna try anything new if they will just get heckled and made fun of. IMO, its not helping the sport, you just look like a tool.

Wow, the losers in the thread are astonishing. You were all gapers once. How about instead of giving people a hard time for no reason you help them improve? Oh no, that would take kindness and self-confidence.

My favorite thing to do when I was skiing park a lot would be to go up to the worst skier out there and be like "hey man, nice try on that jump. Next try..."

yeah at my mountain people yell the worst shit out when i am trying a new trick. after getting my confidence up then having people yell and laugh makes it even harder. i mean i get it when your with your friends but when people do it over and over it can just get rude. i'm not saying i haven't laughed at people fall but i don't do it so Im blatantly laughing in their face...

I used to ride with this kid that always talked shit on the lift.  He was horrible, dropped fire crackers down on people under the chair.  We were up at Moonlight, and he yelled "NICE TALL T FAGGOT !" at this skier sliding a propane tank.  Mid slide this kid looked up and flipped him off.  We were in the Park later and the kid skied up to him and started gettin in his face.  The Skier and his friend, called him out, and he just folded.   It was the funniest situation I have ever seen involving hecklers.

I really enjoy doing this, I actually skied with a little kid for over 2 hours that asked for my help hitting a small flat rail. It was probably one of the most fun days I have had all season.

oh trust me i do that to. i was helping like 4 different kids with easier rail tricks like front swap. front 2 out and back 2 out. i did the trick as an example and explained this to them. but i heckle ppl when they try to act like there the shit and they suck. or if there just joeys riding over the lips of jumps and ruining em

If someone heckles me or my friends or anyone weak and innocent and I catch it, they are verbally shit on for the rest of the night. Heckling is dumb and has no point, you only make yourself look like a douche. sorry but its true.

in all reality though, I only heckle when it's positive eg: DO A BACKFLIP! or if someone tried something cool and at shit.

next year will be the year of the megaphone. taking heckling to the EXTREME!

as to the thread creator - maybe if you a) didn't suck so much or b) stopped being so emo than you'd understand the need of a good heckle.

Heckling is fine if its for fun. its part of the sport. and to all the whiners who are all like "heckling is wrong", just repeat this when you get heckled. sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt.

Yea I pretty much yell "do a backflip!" at everyone about to hit a jump or wind lip. Sometimes they call me out but then I just send a backflip and they stop talking

nah. its just not necessary. I dont get heckled but i watch people who do and sometimes it actually upsets people and they dont want to ride in the park anymore. You can call them pussies but when that happens it takes away from our sport.

We all sucked at some point or another, and I don't see the point in making fun of kids for sucking when they're genuinely trying to get better.  Gapers that kill the lips are a different story, but I still make an effort to educate them that what they're doing messes up the park and offer to teach them how to actually hit rails.

I don't try and pick out the worst kid of the bunch, but more often the kid that looks like he's trying the hardest.  You know what I'm talking about, that kid that always gets up after every fall, even the really nasty ones, and just keeps trying no matter what.  I love seeing kids wanting to get better at skiing cause I'm in the same boat, I'm still learning and getting better every day.

I just like helping people in general, and it's cool when kids come up to me and ask me, "hey, how do you do a front flip?", or "I want to learn 540's" and stuff.  I remember learning all of those things and being soooo intimidated by all of the kids in the park that were really good and had their baggy clothing, and I always wanted to ask them for help, but never got the courage up to do it. 

There were a few guys that were always around, always killing it, and always willing to give suggestions though, and they really helped me get better.  My goal is be that guy, and be nice enough to take a lap or two out to help a kid learn a trick or something because if no one does, he might give up and never learn how awesome skiing really is.

So +k to you, Triple_Strum, for actually being a good person.
