Go Pro footage jumpy?

Whenever i upload my gopro footage into sony vegas, it does not play smoothly at all..its all jumpy. Has anyone ever had this problem?
my project settings are:
width:1280
Height:720
Framerate:30.00fps

this is the same project settings i use for my other cam and its flawless. I have tried different default sony vegas settings and it does the same thing. It plays fine in quicktime and windows media player though. Please help.

its the raw gopro footage, its a complex codec. Use mpeg streamclip to convert them to an h264 mov or avi.

when i covert the files, it plays fine in windows media player, then when i drag it into vegas it is just a audio file..anyone know?

I had the same problem. Just change the preview quality. You don't need to be editing in full quality. Just switch it to preview quality.

Its probably the file, i wish i had more knowledge about vegas.

your computer is just not good enough to run all that. Just lower the quality of the preview in vegas.

dont have a gopro but i use vegas often..... maybe try exporting the footage using vegas?
