for a hat you just chain 6-7 then loop it using a slip stitch. 2 single crotchet in each for a couple rounds. then 1-2-1-2 for a couple and so on. when the top is large enough, reduce the amount of stitches and the sides begin to drop. make it the proper length. im guessing you dont understand that so ask your mom or grandmother. if they are both dead, print a pattern off of www.lionbrand.com and bring it to the yarn store and as them to show you.and if you fail at that, you fail at life
